What would be the cause of the tires on our 2009 Prius squealing? This just started a few months ago. We are about to hit 20,000 miles.

    Low tyre/tire pressures?
    Tracking/allignment out?

I usually find it's one or the other, but I'm sure others will add their comments.

What Grumpy wrote. Tire pressures should be checked at least monthly, after the car has been parked for at least an hour. And have you driven over any curbs or fallen trees? :_>

    No curbs or trees. :)

And I keep the pressures as per the door placard. Even bumped them up 5 lbs just to see if that would help, but no joy.

Just had a look at the tries, though, and it looks like the front left is wearing on the inside. One pothole too many, maybe. Thanks fer input.

Are they the original tires? They do wear out rather fast.

Check the tire tread depth, especially on the front tires. My guess is that you need new tires.
