No big shocker; Volt dealers may add $20,000 markup

    Hey, Malorn, are you still there? Any thoughts on the alleged Volt markup? Or the disparity between the marketing and the product?

    Well, looks like markups (gouging) are just fine with GM, but they recommend you shop around if you don't like the price at a particular dealer! RIP, Volt!:(

    No way that anyone would buy a Volt at MSRP + $20,000!!

    I would not buy one for MSRP - government incentives.

    I think its foolish to pay 41000 for a car you have to charge every 380 miles let along 61000. Maybe a long extension cord is included.

    Forgive me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it about now that the Volt was going to be released in the US?

    Any ideas where they are?

    At $41K, there is very little market for the Volt. I would guess GM knows that. The stuff about an extra $20K sounds like a fantasy.
