    well, 2009 Prius resale loss is pretty much huge. Mine's about $1.07 / mile depreciation trade-in to $.88 / mile on a lucky private party sale. that's expensive.

    Well you are talking about a 2009 car, its normal its a car that hasnt 2 model years......

    dont think because its a toyota the car hold its value in the 3 first years.........

    By Gen 6.5 do you mean 2011? The only thing I see different is the grill and the tail lights. The bumpers look the same.Those are subtle differences. With the Sonata it's BAM! huge difference between the hybrid and the standard.

    2010 and 2011 are the midlife updated models. The bumper feature the aero corners found on the 2010 Prius. Those are absent on the 07-09 models for example.

    This is much more obvious imo than the 07-09 which only had a different grille compared to the standard Camry (metallic finished versus body-colour or body-colour with chrome surround). Yes the taillights are different too.

    Buying any new car is a tough proposition for resale, but agreed it's demonstrable that the hyundai will lose value quicker. I do think the new Sonata is a nice car, though, than old. Long term quality nobody can say. I think Hyundais are getting better but still not Toyota level.
    And that's just crazy-talk. I know the Genesis has a lot going for it but in the end $180/month more for a Hyundai than a Lexus is a bitter pill to swallow. Leasing on low-residual cars is harsh.
    Have you driven a V6 Camry? C&D gave them a zero-60 of 6.4. I did drive one and it was a lot quicker than most people expect.

    I know, I have a coworker with a TCH and...the thing is just dull...its like driving a Comfort Inn. No panache or style at all...

    I mean, I know its a boring family sedan...but it should have SOME style or elegance. The Sonata and the Accord have it...

    Yep...hence why I bought the Lexus...

    Yep, same motor thats in my ES350. Its VERY quick.
