We got this 2007 used in June and I love it but recently I have been reading the manual and noticed the power on mode. I have tried numerous times and different ways to put it on with no luck. It powers up for ignition with no issue but I can't just listen to the radio or reset the tire pressure because it can only go into ignition mode. Any suggestions?
Sorry if this is in the wrong place I am a newbie to these forums.

Have you tried pressing the power button without having your foot on the brake pedal?

    That's normally how it works,

    - foot off the brake at power-up gives "accessory mode".

    - Foot on the brake at power-up gives "ready mode"

Yes, Numerous times. I have followed the manual word for word. Have you ever heard of this problem before?

No I've never heard of that problem. Can we just get this straight, you can still start the car (that is, get it to ready mode) and drive it, but you can't put it into accessory mode. Is that what's happening?

What happens if you press the power button while your foot is not on the brake pedal?

Yes it starts no issue but I cannot put it into accessory mode. Thanks for that name. I had no idea what to call that. If I do not hold the brake down and press the power button nothing happens at all. I have tried holding it for numerous amounts of time and pressing it once, twice, three times with nothing happening.

It seems that the physical power button works but maybe one of the car computers is "confused". If so then maybe try disconnect the 12V battery, wait a few minutes, then reconnect the 12V battery and see if the computers reset themselves. Good luck! :)

In our 2007, I press the ON button TWICE, with my foot OFF the brake, to achieve ACC mode.

My 2007 operates as stated in the manual:

"1) “ACC†(Green indicator is turned on)
Accessories such as the radio operate.

    2) “IG-ON†(Amber indicator is turned on)
    All accessories are operable."

ACC mode is achieved by depressing the POWER switch without depressing the brake pedal; IG-ON mode is achieved by depressing the POWER switch two ties without depressing the brake pedal.

That would be right, I think. I use the two presses to be able to roll up/down windows without going into READY mode. I rarely use the radio unless I'm in READY mode anyway.

Avoid use of IG-ON for more than a brief period (don't linger there more than the time needed to raise or lower your windows) because the drain on the 12V battery is quite high in that operating mode.
