Wouldn't it be nice if we could just live in a world where being sexual is considered normal? And, not being sexual is also normal?

Sexuality is a product of attraction, which is a result of pheromones (p) and chemistry. How your p-receptor is set up is part of your personal biology. It's no wonder that, during puberty, especially, when the p-receptor is "coming online", there can be a lot of confusion while it "figures out" what it will react to.
Some people have broad ranges of (p) receptivity, others have fairly narrow ranges.

Unfortunately, culture teaches us to embrace some p-receptivity, and to abhor others. We learn to rely more on our visual perceptions, and our cultural "norms", than we do on what our hearts, and our chemistry, is telling us.

I voted "straight", as that is my current lifestyle. In fact, I've pretty much only have been "straight" in my sexuality, but it was never really a choice I made.

But, since he briefly entered seminary and considered becoming a priest, I suppose he has some deeper meaning that I don't understand

Sexuality is a spectrum, not an either/or question.

 

here's a question maybe someone can answer. i know a pair of identical twins, and one is bisexual and the other is straight. Can this be so? the genetic make-up of identical twins is the same isn't it? maybe one of them is lying? it just seems that they should both be of the same orientation if it's genetic.
