I take it to the dealer until the warranty expires, then a local shop specializing in Toyota/Lexus.

I detest those quick lube places.

    Ramps: 30$

2x6's cut to 4" lengths to get the low-rider Prius on to the 30$ ramps: 8$

    Toyota filter: 4$

    0w-20 of your choosing: 30$

Knowing your oil pan isnt stripped and a crackhead didn't change your oil: PRICELESS.

Only chumps use the dealer or quicklube, an oil change is the last thing any man can do on a modern car, have a zen moment with your car once in a while.

I like doing oil changes myself but only after warranty expires. The way Toyota treated DIY oil changers during the sludge fiasco taught me a lesson.

Not that Toyota "experts" are any good. Every time they changed oil in my RAV4 there was a problem. Overfilled most times, sometimes wrong oil used and NEVER admitted wrongdoing even when confronted.

If I ever buy a new Prius.. I would NEVER subject it to my own HORRIBLE manual labor skills!!!
