Midori (Japanese for Green?-per my colleague) my 2002 Toyota Prius.

this morning, climbed all 7 levels of parking garage in battery mode.

battery mode seems to kick in more often after she's warmed up.

heat works, ac works. brakes work, but squeal a little bit occasionally. have to have that checked out by Winter too.

instant economy, avg economy, energy regenerated, all fine and dandy, but what about miles to empty?

Plan on testing out the CD drive on the way home tonight.

Considered/debated recording ICE noise, for any who want to conjecture openly about its chances of surviving harsh Indiana winters.

Decided to look into getting the recall done. Hopefully not too much damage has been done by this not being done by the previous owner for almost 30K miles.

Front nose cover STILL has not come yet.

Old Taurus is going byebye tomorrow. Midori (Prius) will proudly park in the driveway, the right way, and not cross-grain at the bottom of the driveway.

Not as many comfort creatures as the Buick Rendesvous. No DVD, no butt warmers, and no leather or even pleather interior.

Still, a nice, solid ride. Touchscreen is kind of neat, but also kind of gimmicky (perhaps don't know how to use it properly yet.)

It's been a week since I started driving it, and I am still kind of jazzed about it.

If you are referring to SSC 60G which is the crankshaft position sensor recall, don't worry. The issue is that the connector might come loose.

If this had happened, then the engine would refuse to start. Since your car is still running, obviously this has not been an issue (so far.)
