I've had the new Prius now for about 4 weeks and have found we just can't leave it alone. Coming from an Escalade ESV which got 11mpg, it's like a whole new sense of freedom!

Anyone else have this problem? We're putting about 500 miles a week, though the first week about 800. How many miles do you normally drive?

Took it last night for my birthday to downtown Nashville to stroll around. Here's my blizzard pearl with soar roof IV and my wife in downtown. Perfect night! Love that car!

    I know what you mean:cool:
I use the Prius instead of a pick up for work
    The saving are a lot
Also our Bimmer is sitting in the drive way a lot more unless it nice out, it is a ragtop
But we put the winter hardtop on yesterday so it could be sitting there even more

Ha...completely understand. We've also got a Volvo XC90 and a Mercedes SLK, but the Prius is the perfect blend of both. Maybe the newness will wear off some...but the gas mileage won't! :)

Interestingly I don't drive anymore than before. However I am enjoying the reduced monthly gas cost.

    Great color choice! :)
    p.s. happy belated birthday!

I still look forward to morning drives to work. It's been almost 10 months and I'm surprised the novelty hasn't worn off. The novelty of material things usually wear off within weeks.

    Blizzard Pearl rocks!

Congrats on your new Prius. I was never a fan of white cars until I saw the Blizzard Pearl. That's a really nice white car.

I've had Priapus for six years now and I still love driving him. Definitely, for the first few months, I was looking for places to go and wanting to drive everywhere.

I know right? I love mine as well! I'm in North Alabama. Glad to see another "close-by" Prius family! Enjoy your time with the car. It'll be a blast!

I know everybody's exact feelings. This generally happens when you know you have a really cool car. My coworker expresses the same feelings in his modified scion TC. We just can't find enough excuses to drive.

I know what you mean. It happened with the '05 and now it's happening all over again with the 2010.

I did an 18k mile per year lease on mine...looking like that may have not been the best idea, as I may be going over. However, I've just decided I'll drive it like I own it...and if I go over, I'll just buy it.

Averaging 51 on my last 2 tanks. Happy with that!

I also have your "disease"! I just enjoy the freedom that this car brings. I give less money to the oil companies, and I get to take part in my love of the road trip. Its not too bad of a disease!

I've been driving with my Prius for a year and a half, and I STILL have that feeling that you describe! Even while driving around 600+ miles a week! Enjoy your new car, and don't worry about the mileage! It's all just a number anyway! ;)

Yes, I drive my Prius all the times and it changes my driving style too. Now, I am enjoying driving in normal speed, relax as the dash board showing my mpg. The game is to keep low mpg whereas the sport car is to race with others - end up getting speeding ticket.

Nice controlled ride -- plenty of acceleration and passing power. Seats are some of the best I have ever had. Hatchback is great for the golf clubs and mpg hovers between 48-52. Have 4600 miles since 8/15. Any excuse to go somewhere gets me driving and I'm retired. Have an 03 jeep liberty --- nice truck -- it has 31k miles on it and won't get many more until the snow hits. Really pleased all around with the Prius.
