Well, I can honestly say that things are really going great for me now. As some of you may know, I was going through a depression. Being in West Virginia, being a homosexual, and going from having a lot, to having nothing payed it's toll on my emotions and well-being. I never really went out, and I was just plain bland. Lately, Brad and I have reunited, but were not going to expect anything from each other. I'm glad I'm back because Brad and I were like side-kicks. We went a lot of places with each other, and have been through a lot. We know everything about one another and everything. So I can proudly say, I got my Prius back, my dad is making the payments off a contract Brad and my Dad made. I will start college next year in the fall with Brad and his brother, and I filled out a job application at KC Summers Toyota. (Keeping my fingers crossed on the job.) I'm just glad to be back, and for good. Thank you all for putting up with me! Lot's of love!

Are you saying "it gets better"?

BTW, I'm curious, how have the "it gets better" messages been received by you and your peers? Does it give you the extra moral support you might need from time to time? Especially given that you may not be in the most "cosmopolitan" area?

Hey, Austin, that's great news. :D

I wondered where you'd disappeared to. I saw something Brad posted that said "Austin and I", and I thought "Hmm...that's interesting. Where IS Austin, anyway?" Now we know. :)

Call me up when you're on your way to Victoria from Detroit.

I am going to Lake Land, and thinking about doing advertising for the Prius, or promoting technologies. I really like to talk about the Prius, I've convinced my parents, my friends parents, and random people to buy one.

Haha, yes, I'm back in Illinois with Brad, my side kick. :D
Things are great and I'm so happy. Were actually planning on going to Detroit in a few weeks to get his Enginer Plug-in system worked on in his 2010. I'll send a message your way when we do! :)

Hi Austin. I'm well. My latest adventure was freediving lessons. Great fun, and highly recommended for anyone who enjoys putting their head under water to see the pretty fishes, without the encumbrance of a scuba tank and related gear. It's amazing what you can do with one lungful of air. Check out the video in the above link.

I watched the whole thing, and I have to say...I envy you. :D
I've always wanted to go to Sydney AU and go diving in the Coral Reef. See all the Clown Fish, and everything. I bet it's breath taking.

    Traded it off for a 2007 package #5. I didn't like the 2010 as much. :(
I would say more about it and my findings but I don't want to offend people who have a 2010.

I'm curious, for one. You should feel comfortable enough here by now to explain your preferences. Most everybody else seems pretty free with their opinions. ;)

That's cool; the main thing is that you have the car you want. As for offending people with the 2010, I can only speak for myself, but since I didn't make the car, no offense would be taken. :p

    Hey, thanks Hyo Silver. :)
Well, I'll go ahead and state that I don't want anyone to be offended, because the 2010 Prius is a great car. What Toyota has done is very understanding but they have made the parts used on the 2010 Prius a lot cheaper and lower quality than that of the Gen.II. In example, the dash has a nice look to it in the Gen.III, but, when you touch it, you can feel that it's a hard, cheap plastic. I seen a used Gen.III Prius at KC Summers Toyota, it was Barcelona Red and it had 35,000 miles on it. The car still looked great, don't get me wrong, but the sloping console where the gear leaver is found was all worn out from where someone's knees had rubbed then till they were smooth and didn't have the "wood grain" look anymore. I've been to Auto Be Yours garage in Scottsburg Indiana that is a "Prius Only" shop. I've been there for a weekend before and have taken a Gen.II Prius apart, so I've had hands-on experience as well as with the Gen.III. To tell you the truth, even Steve said too, that the Gen.II Prius was over-engineered. The Gen.III now has the hard to read ENERGY MONITOR but I do like the HYBRID SYSTEM INDICATOR though. With the Gen.II, the dash is plastic, but is wrapped in a material of some sort that has that "wood grain" look. There's just other little things Toyota did to the Gen.III that went backwards. :(
