Illuminated Toyota Emblem?

I'm sure others might agree with me on this (I'm sure some will not), but I actually take pride in who manufactures my vehicle. I love my Toyota and I don't mind sharing that.

 

MY comment below was specifically regarding the 'lighting' of the Toyota emblem. IMO, that's a bit over the top. Perhaps also do it to your GE refrigerator? Actually that may be a good idea to help navigate to it for that midnight snack....

Pride? How about wearing a Toyota pin on your suit lapel?
I prefer my "pride" referring to matters as family, country, company, etc rather than an object (we all paid for anyway).

 

So, what you're saying is you've never "purchased" a hat or t-shirt bearing the "logo" of a commercially available product? Amazing... If I were to fully embrace this philosophy, I'd have to give up all my Corona t-shirts and hats! I'd have nothing to wear... LOL!

 

Besides cigars, where it's considered rude to leave the tag on... some people like to show off what kind of brand they have. Hell, If i owned a lamborghini, I would never debadge it so that all the house wives would know I'm loaded

I wouldn't put a light behind the Nike symbol on my shirt, the Ping name on my golf club bag, or the Apple logo on my laptop. Whoops bad example on the latter.

 

I could make these what would people be willing to pay for sutch a item.

 

$30-40 is reasonable. Please make one that could mount on a Gen II also!

 

i've never done a mod, but that is sweet. i'd pay a hundred or so. toyota charges 4+ for doorsills...

 

seeing how those illuminated door panels are $240, 30-40 dollars for these would be a Steal.

I want you to make some profit too since you are creating the item.

I'd say $45 dollars without shipping is ideal for both the Front and Back emblems.

why don't you make a few and see what it costs to produce them...its seems as tho folks are willing to pay $35-45.

Off the top of my head I think I could do them for $60 each if you did a group buy of 60. That's 30 set's. BECAUSE I don't want to start a new business or anything if some one wanted to set up a Group Buy to buy all 30 set's that's the only way I would be willing to do it for that price.

I think if you WERE to set up a small business, it wouldn't be much of a risk. I searched for a good 3 hours trying to find these emblems online and found only a cheap knock off for $10.

If you were to start this up, I think you would definitely profit.

 

PhazonPhobe I agree, Here is a perfict way for you to set up shop and Make some money. You place a order with me. I make them for you and you sell them to who ever and for what ever $ you want.

That's $60 for each one. That's $120 for a set of 2 a front and a back.

BTW if anyone thinks that's to much I completley understand. I have $120 if anyone want's to make a set for me for a $120 count me in. I know what the Plexy cost's and I know what it costs to machine it and I know what the LEDs and putting them all together cost's and $60 for each one is IMO pretty cheep. The only way to get them that cheep is doing a bunch of them.

1. How will the lights be powered?
2. I dont know about the others here, but for me at least, I don't like the LEDs to glow in a dot pattern - I want one consistent glow on the outline.
