that "features" graphics on the screen looks really high quality, much higher quality video out than before on toyota or lexus vehicles...

What if the outter ring is a dial and the stalk can be nudged to driver/middle/passenger positions? That is, to adjust the driver temp, you nudge the stalk to the left and twist the dial. To change the passenger temp, nudge it right and twist. I'm basing the nudging concept on the way we adjust the side mirrors with the three-way button to designate which mirror to adjust.

I think I've heard of cars with cup holders directly in front of the vents which would serve to keep drinks cold when the A/C is set to cooling.

those cupholders can be seen on european auris... they are actually quite useful, as you can direct airflow to them and hence cool or heat your drink with it...

Dude, you are definitely harshing my mellow.

Until the car comes out for real, I will continue to live in my dual-zone delusion.

Looking good! Tomorrow and Monday will be very exciting to finally see the screen. I hope it is a standard feature.

So then, maybe the "AUTO" button on top of the joystick activates voice control of the LCD screen. :D

Could be.. but I'm thinking it's spring loaded. It's Toyota. =)

Yes and I actually hate that. Those cupholders tend to be flimsier (and shallower) than cupholders found on the centre console.

on the flip side, they block airflow :D.

    lol.

The complete phrase is 'passanger airbag On / Of'. Does not look as dual zone airco to me.

But the two little arrows left and right of the temperature could mean that the settings are valid for both left and right. (left arrow = settings for left site, right arrow = settings for right, both arrows = settings for both)

    it means you are setting
    - left: fan speed
    - center: temp
    - right: airflow

    with the big knob...
