I have both IHeartRadio and Pandora on my phone. I would love to be able to access my accounts and favorites at home and in the car.

    No.

iheart radio has better sound quality and the full lyric is available for the free version. I kept getting disconnected. Perhaps, 3G is too slow for the high quality streaming.

Bluetooth. If the car allows speakerphone via bluetooth, then I don't see why you couldn't play your iPod/Pandora/iHeartRadio/others through the car speakers AND have the car's "infotainment system" utilize your phone's 3G/4G wireless connection. I have an Alpine radio/cd/mp3 deck in the dash of my car, and when I sync my iPhone, my iPod display and controls appear on my Alpine car deck display. Toyota could be evolving this system and taking it a few steps further.

Oh btw, a full size, non-puzzle-pieced version of the Prius photo is available on the Toyota website at:
    Toyota Prius Projects

Good eye Bob, no one here could get that first word. So it's kind of a competition thing for the energy saving radio the Volt will have from I think Bose...

In the picture I see "MAP/voice" and "DEST" buttons - so wouldn't that imply it's still a NAV radio?

This head unit should be swappable with the Prius.

OMG! It's a dashboard! With an entertainment center! I didn't see that coming!

How come the glove box plastic is textured to look like adobe? I'm all for the Eco-Plastics...but not a big fan of the interior of my automobile looking like it was spackled on by an artist on the streets of Mexico City....

it is very unlikely that car will use your phone connection, much more likely is 3G or 4G modem for the vehicle... many carriers do not support teetering and i dont see them making you switch networks and phones in order to make your Prius work :).

Why not offer this system in the 2011 Prius as well?

The screen folds down for the cd slot, just like the current one.

I can't believe this thread even exists. I thought there would be something good at the end of 22 pages.

Hi,Joined today. Have been a long time Toyota owner with Camrys ,Tundras but never got a Prius .. But I was very interested in the Prius MPV. I was assuming it to be a minivan with sliding doors. Boy,if this thing has sliding doors-- I am in. But from the pics -it appears to be more of a station wagon with regular 4 doors.

So,can anyone confirm -whether this new MPV will be having regular 4 doors or sliding doors like a minivan. If it has sliding doors --then with that awesome fuel economy it can really whip the Honda Odyssey and maybe can be badged with some modifications as a Sienna. Thanks.
