Good news all. After my diligence which included a lot of reseach, numerous calls to Toyota corporate and the corporate liaison at Toyota of Dallas (I won't be on her Christmas card list!), I won. I won, I won, I won!!!! TofD agreed "as a show of goodwill" to comp the entire service, tow truck and rental car. Corporate didn't know what TofD had done (since TofD wouldn't call corporate back) and corporate was going to at least reimburse me for the part, which was most of the expense, since the dealership wasn't looking like they were going to help.

Moral to the story, fight bad charges and don't give up!!!

That's great. How about taking a couple of photos of the throttle body?

If you are game, open the hood and find the throttle body which is located under the black rectangular plastic engine air filter housing. You'll see a spring loaded shaft which opens and closes the throttle. You'll also see the motor which has a black housing. Does this look like a new part?

Then remove the top of the air cleaner housing and look down into the throttle body and throttle plate. Do the metal parts look shiny and new?

Let me recommend Toyota of Plano for service. I previously used T of Richardson and T of Dallas and I'm a very happy convert. They will try to sell you all the "dealer recommended" service crap just like everyone else does, but otherwise they've been great.
