Is the Toyota provides an update engine ECU to optimize his operation, for example for minimize fuel savings?
Theoretically, these updates should be available, especially for the early production of the Prius III 2009/2010.
I had previous Passat 1.8 TSI in which it would be possible, but you had to ask about this service and pay.

    Hello,
The Prius was designed from the start to be fuel efficient. We have found Toyota releases software updates to address safety issues, such as the recent "brake pause." I have never heard of Toyota selling a software change.

The "brake pause", SSC-A0B, eliminated or reduced to insignificance, a 700 ms. release of braking force in some hard to replicate conditions. You had to have all four of the following conditions: speed under 30 km/h, modest braking force, unusually slippery surface, and a very severe bump or pot hole.

I see you have the 1.8L Prius. Perhaps you are interested in getting more engineering data about the car? This has been how many of us have figured out how to improve our vehicle mileage.
