2010 Toyota Prius in Gran Turismo 5!

    Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. The game I have been waiting so patiently for is finally coming out! I go pick it up tomorrow at 10:00a.m. from Game Stop. I hear the 2010 Prius is going to be on this game, along with a bunch of other awesome cars I like! The following are the car's I will drive most of the time:

    Honda CR-Z α '10
    Honda INSIGHT '99
    Honda INSIGHT LS '09
    Honda EV Plus '02
    Honda FCX 03'
    Honda FCX Clarity '08
    Toyota PRIUS G (j) '02
    Toyota PRIUS G '09
    Toyota PRIUS G Touring Selection '03
    Toyota PRIUS Plug-in Concept '08
    Toyota RAV-4 EV '02
    General Motors EV1 '99

    Those are the one's I know of. I'll try to let you guys know how the game turns out. :)

    OK, suit yourself. I'd choose the ones I'd never get to try in real life. On custom tracks. And karts, just for fun. :)

    When I grow up to be rich and famous, racing simulations are going to have their own room, with a big screen TV for each driver, and realistic controls built into real car shells salvaged from the wrecker. Maybe even a Prius. :cool:

    This game is the only reason I might buy the PS3. And a Logitech G25. And a racing seat setup for the steering wheel, gear shifter, and pedals. :D

    If only I didn't have to buy a new system to play this game. I always loved GT4 on my PS2, and this sounds like the mother-of-all-racing-simulators.

    I'd imagine that a Prius on a racetrack, when one is used to cars like a GT-R (in the game, of course) is an experience similar to driving a VW Bus on the track in GT4.

    I have Gran Tourismo Prologue, which is a previous version and it is the mother of all racing simulators!

    No Prius in my version and I can't really see how it would compete on any of the tracks on mine, but I may just have to buy the game to see. I love my Prius, but rac car it's not! (The slight understeer is pretty controllable if you like pusing it around corners though)

    And I'll take the Lan Evo X tuned over a GT-R any day, but there's a LOT of great cars to play with. I mean where else can you drive a Mini on a tight track and then 5 minutes later be driving a corvette on a high speed track... :)

    I bought a PS2 for GT3 and enjoyed my PS2 since with other games that I've explored. This time, I couldn't wait for GT5 so I grabbed a PS3 ahead of time (last year). Can't wait to try it out!

    It have the Collector's Edition sitting at home :rockon: The book's pretty awesome and I love the scale model car. (GT-R Spec V).


    The Prius appears to be a non Touring model (i.e. it's the one that Ken @ Japan has). I'm curious about driving the FCX Clarity.

    GT4 Prologue had a Prius Challenge if I recall correctly. (or maybe it was a region-specific disc)

    I haven't talked to you since 6:00p.m. today haha.
    Well, the game is well worth it. I LOVE it. It's so real. You can even do an interior view of the car. The Prius is so real too, it has the energy monitor!

    It's really worth it. I also just bought a Mitsubishi i-MIEV. Top speed is 84mph, but it acts just like how it's supposed to in real life. I recommend it.

    Yeah, I have GT4 and it's just the regular version but still has all the hybrid cars. Sadly, I don't have the Prius challenge. That's only for the special edition which was made specifically for the Prius' debut in 2004.

    Same here, I suppose that driving the FCX Clarity on here will have the same effect as the other electric cars. It will most likely have the same "WHIRRR" of the motor. I ran the i-MIEV out of juice on a track yesterday, it was so cool! I drove like a mad man and got 42 miles before my battery was dead!

    I think GT5 also has downloadable content, meaning that hopefully, we can download updates that will include new cars. *LIKE THE LEAF!*

    There's no toyota's at all in GT5 Prologue, but I'm looking forward to the new version.

    Yeah I was referring to GT4 though...

    GT5 Prologue.. that was the one with the Alpine track (Eiger Norwand)

    Well those with the CE will have 5 cars to download, no?

    Here is my Prius in GT5 at the Nürburgring short track. It has been lowered with Enkei wheels. Cool thing is that you can paint both the car and any aftermarket wheels you install. I kept the car white but painted the wheels gunmetallic green.
