How to fix itunes on vista?

    actually i had downloaded the 64 bit version of itunes 4 vista but then an error says that the ''file library .it cannot be readed because it was made up of the newer version of itunes''
    now what should i do please help ...

    Get rid of Vista. My first choice is Ubuntu, but if you must stay with Microsoft, then Windows 7.

    Exact same thing happened to me. I could read the music no problem, but then iTunes deleted all the apps from my iPhone for my convenience. Thanks, iTunes!

    Just because I hate Microsoft with the strength of 10,000 burning suns doesn't mean Apple doesn't suck, too. And Linux sucks somewhere between the two.

    All computers suck, as well as all operating systems. How you rank them on the suck-o-scale most likely depends on which one most recently screwed you.
