Interesting case.I think the old white racist instigated the whole event .
I couldnt hear the soundtrack entirely.
Did he say he wanted to find a black person to shine his shoes?
Or that a "Chinaman" would do?
If the white racist instigated the incident,then I think he is guilty of a hate crime.
There certainly is plenty of video evidence either way.
I guess the law would rule in favor of the instigator,as he seemed to be physically defensive(but that may be an illusion,the white guy may be the aggressor).
Yet the white racist, initiated the incident and taunted the outcome.
Hate crime IMO.

I certainly wouldn't want you on a jury... the punk listened in on others conversations, and drew conclusions that were wrong and confronted the old-white-guy... then because the punk was goaded by others on the bus to keep it up, he got his azz handed to him after the punk got back up to the old-white-guy and committed a felony. The old-white-guy was defending himself... the punk deserved every fricken smack he got.

did you watch the youtube in paul's post? sounds pretty clear that there was a misunderstanding where the white guy was talking about getting his shoes shined and the black guy played the race card over it.

the evidence is overwhelming against the black guy. the white guy tried to clarify, made the statement he wasn't racist, moved to a new seat to avoid confrontation. the black guy pursued and hit first. the black guy got what he deserved.

 

You have the same problem the punk did. You didn't hear something clearly so you jumped to the conclusion that the guy was a racist.

i still think the black guy is at fault. he admits he was drunk, and pursued the situation. there's a difference of the story of the spit shining, and the video doesn't show the part right before this. i think the interesting part is when the white guy says "you offered!" again, we need more video beforehand.

Dude. You need to get your story straight on your Orwellian thought crime crap. You can think what you want. But the only reason this video went viral is because the crap-talking black "guy" got his arse handed to him by an old white guy, despite the fact that he had a little hood rat cheering party backing him up. This is not usually the case. Usually when the old white guy is attacked by a (typically much younger) black "guy" (or perhaps a feral pack of black "guys"), he ends up very hurt minus whatever possessions he had and/or just plain dead. In fact, if you really want to go into the stats on cross-racial violent assault and rape, we could do that, but you aren't going to like the outcome. It turns out that there is sort of a little war going on that has a definite racial footprint with regards to perp and victim. Call me a racist if you want, but frankly that allegation has just about lost any merit it ever had over the last 20 or 30 years thanks to the "genius" of the Hart-Cellar Act. Is this what REALLY bothers you- that people aren't buying it anymore and are instead asking about the elephant in the room?
