Snow tires or what?

    Did Les Schwab say if they'll charge you every time you swap your wheels to re-program the TPMS IDs into the ECU? I've got the TPMS on my winters also, and mainly because I'm less likely to pay as much attention to the pressures in the winter months - it's cold and I just don't want to do it as much then.

    I just called them and the guy said that they would not charge me to program the TPMS each time I swap tires. Hopefully this will hold true! :cheer2:

    Got the Toyo Observe put on today at Les Schwab. They could not program the TPMS to my car for some reason that I can't remember. They said they tried for 2 or 3 hours. So, saved myself a few hundred $ and will just ignore the tire pressure warning light. The hubcaps they had wouldn't fit properly. Went down the road to America's Tire and got a set that fit AND was $5 less at $35. My husband think they look nicer than the Les Schwab hubcaps, too! Now, watch, we will get no snow! =D

    Les Schwab is a Toyota dealer, right? Or are they an independent shop? A lot of the independent shops can't do the TPMS programming. I just swapped my winter tires on this morning and updated the TPMS. Then again, I paid for a TechStream cable and just use it to update the IDs. Whether that really worked or not, well, I won't know for sure until I drive for a few days. I didn't have anywhere to go today, so I didn't drive the vehicle afterward.

    I'm hoping my new snow thrower will help make sure we get no snow! The snow tires last year didn't do the trick, but in all fairness, I got them after our first storm so I may have been a little late.
