Do you have the navigation system? I ask because I want to know if the sharkfin antenna interfers with it as I read in another thread.

Ordered Husky Weatherbeather mats last night, but after today's drive in the snow and slush, I'll be getting mudflaps asap.

No change in the NAV (GPS) or XM Radio. No data on the FM reception, since I never listen to FM.

First things done (I have a Prius II):

Snow tires and rims (from Tirerack) - live in NH
Replaced the speakers in the doors with 6.5" two-way (Polk in front, Alpine in rear) - big difference. This forum was a huge help with that project - removing the door panels without damaging them, wire colors, what to do with that 6x9 hole in the front doors. - Thanks!

    Next:
Swap out the radio with the Kenwood Excelon unit I pulled from the car I traded in. It has iPod controls. Got the parts, just need to find the time.

Ah yes, Snow Tires, had them put on by the dealership before they delivered it to me.

Remember to remove the covers when you wash the car! There's a lotta gunk trapped btwn the alloys and the cover. That pics look pretty nasty. I almost forgot you had the lower bodyside aluminium trim cause it was covered in mud.

Not mud, just dirty snow. I was driving on snow covered roads all day, which is actually rare, even up here. The next day everything was cleared.

Good call though, I went through the touchless to clean it up a bit but forgot about the covers.

I need to get some center caps and pull those things off before they get all gunky under there. I'd prefer just the alloys.

Must be warmer where you are. My car doesn't look as bad as that and we use sand so it does get muddy (or dirty if you prefer...) esp. if the temps rise close to freezing (the snow is like... mocha frapp lol).

The thread you referenced asked what they did to personalize their car.

The question the OP is asking is what are some things people did FIRST.

    :focus:

I installed some WeatherTech Extreme mats in the front first... and followed that up with a clear bra and tint. Mud guards are on back order

OEM style fog lights to get rid of the "gray" cover on my II.
    5000k HIDs
Added light at the center console underneath the shifter so that I can find my wallet & cell phone at night.
Will add signal lights & floor entrance lights on both side mirrors like the JDM spec
