That is, if you can find a dealer relatively close by or at least within 5 or 6 hrs of driving who actually realizes that 2010 is almost over and 2010 Prii are 1 yr into depreciation, and to expect to get full 'invoice' price on a 1 yr depreciated vehicle is not realistic.

Unfortunately I'm not aware of any dealers near me who understand any of this, though it appears some So. CA dealers are a bit more flexible so good news if you're on the left coast.

In cold weather, the PHV wont make that big of a difference, since batteries dont work as well..

Too expensive. I'd pick up a 2010 now, I bet they are almost free on some dealer lots. I'm inclined to prefer pure electrics, too, over these hybrids. The Volt and Prius plug in just aren't doing it for me, not with the numbers I've seen.

Don't forget that by June 2012 another car better than the plug in prius is likely to be just around the corner.

Forgot about the ability to warm-up via the plug, eh?

You'll still get a big MPG boost, in the winter. Most people drive more during the warm months anyway.

    Winter...hmmmmm....

Isn't that when you have to stop wearing shorts on some days and put on a jacket at night????

Yeah, we have winters here. My mileage has dropped to 52-MPG, and I had to run the heater last week! :D

I also leave my bike at home on some days...(not today though!)
