My backup camera seems to have all of a sudden lost its aim such that the alignment marker is higher on the right than it is on the left meaning that the edge of the bumper is higher on the right as well. It just happened all of a sudden and seems to be pointed a little to the left. Does anyone know of a way to adjust it or is this one for the 5K mile checkup?

    Thanks,

    Skil

While it would be covered under the warrenty, all thats happened is the camera has rotated in its mount. P.I.A., but fixable. Just have someone sit in the drivers seat, parking brake on HARD, Safety First, put it in reverse, spin the camera level, then tighten it up!

Thanks, but it seems kinda tight. How do I spin it level?

That's why you have somebody in the front seat watching the display while you are behind twisting the camera in the mount. On my Gen II it's next to the rear plate, drivers side. since it just twisted, would assue that the mount lock has loosened up, and will have to tighten it back up.
Or just have the dealer spin it and torque it down!
I just thought, perhaps the camera is a non adjustable unit that's factoy set. It's then sealed, then it would have to be replaced, Dealer time!

Thanks for the help. It really does look locked down and I can't really see how I would move it beyond taking the panel off of the hatch. It's really tight too which makes me wonder how it moved in the first place. Well, I'll take it back to the dealer since I'm not allowed to keep any form of disassembly tool in the house.:p
