    OK, here we friggin' go...
So this afternoon I go to one of my local dealers that have been pestering me for WEEKS to by my Prius from them.
I'm just getting over the flu, but my back is killing me, yet that's another story...

Anyway, they call me saying to simply print-out the Trucar Certificate ($25,190, which includes Remote Start, Wheel Locks, Lower Body molding, Cargo Organizer, 5-Piece Floor & Cargo Mats, Silver Paint).

So I print it out, then I called them TWICE to confirm that there was no problem honoring that price.
When I get there this afternoon (after driving about an extra 1/2 hour), they decided the price was too low, and they now want $27,243 for the car.
I'm soooo pissed, I can't tell you how much...

I called another dealer and told them I'm buying it from them tomorrow, so give me your best price without all of the BS!!!

Yea right, we'll see what happens on Sunday...

What's up with this "TruCar" BS. Maybe it should be called "UN-TruCar" instead!!!

Ben if you are going to bad mouth the same dealer word for word all over Prius chat, at least name the dealer.

    Good point Jimbo...
    That would be Competition Toyota.

Who knows, maybe that Certificate nonsense is wrong from day one!
But then again, IMHO they shouldn't have said they'd honor the price.

should have asked for it in writing and have them faxed it to you. Words don't mean schit. been there done that. Since you've this long might as well wait a few more months for the Prius V. It's got a lot more room.

Might not be a bad idea, depending on the price points.
I think I read somewhere that the 2011 models will also be Clean-Pass eligible, for HOV use in NY, which is important to me.
    Thx,
    Ben

I would never buy a car without BT now. I use it every single day. On my old car I used a BT headset and was often lazy and would forget it or it wouldn't be charged etc etc.

We picked the Prius up on Saturday, and today was the first day that I drove it for work (I'm an Outside Sales Rep.).
    I went ~155 miles today, averaged 41MPG!!!
Man, I'm lovin' it so far.

I had ~1/4 tank of fuel left, so I filled it up.
It took a WHOPPING $28.50! LOL...
    I'm not used to that........YET! ;)

    My AV would've taken ~$80-$90!

I also contacted the DMV yesterday, and my Clean-Pass stickers are on their way!

    Happy Motoring Everyone,
    BigBen

That's a normal fill up here in Canada for a regular family sedan. (Camry = 70 litres, low fuel light comes on at 60 litres. Fuel = $1.20/litre. Cost = $1.20*60 litres = Cdn$72 for a Camry).

$1.20/litre now? I was just in Toronto and it was $1.05/litre... Still a lot to americans, but not as high as it should be.

Last time we took the RX to Ontario, it was "only" $0.98/litre.
