The new Prius isn't the Prius V, it's the Prius v

v... Maybe it has a 5 cylinder engine.

Somewhat more complicated than a 4 or 6 as it requires a countershaft
for balancing thrust pulses... unless its a radial. :p

Still, BMW, VW, Audi, Mercedes, Volvo, and even GM have (had) them.

Well, I've been "rolling in the aisles" over this. See, the way I see it, this is a "mini-mini-van". So a lower case v for a small van. And the "c" will be a compact. ;) I think a mu-v would have been better (for micro-van). But it's just a name and most of the great unwashed public wouldn't understand it even if it hit them in the face. :)

I'll be surprised if they accept a single letter. Intel learned their lesson with trying to trademark a number. Now they name their processors.

So this is why they are spelling out the numbers on the 2011 Prius trims (Prius Five instead of Prius V)? Less confusing when the Prius v is on the same lot?
