That is appropriate because I was at 5,000 feet.

One of our Interstate highways in Michigan ends at a ferry dock on the shore of Lake Michigan. It starts again on the Wisconsin side at another ferry dock. That would be a rude surprise if you weren't paying attention to your GPS Nav guidance.

Clearly, the next step will require installing a video camera that is aimed at your face, so it can record the looks of amazement as the car speeds up when the accelerator is pushed, and slows down when the brake is pushed.

Not good enough, there needs to be cameras installed at every gas
pump in the nation to record Prii owner's grins at the low cost they
    pay.

I've been wondering, what would wearing your shoes on the wrong
feet do/mean if caught by a footwell camera?

Isn't that the way they do it in the Southern Hemisphere anyway...
you know coriollis force and all being backwards?

I'm embarrassed to admit to this: My last car was an Explorer, 18 gallon tank, filled up about every 7-8 days, $3.00/gallon for about $55.00. When I got my Prius, the dealer filled the tank. I got paranoid after the first week because I didn't have to put in any gas (is the gas guage working?). Same for the second week. Third week, hurrah, gas guage is blinking, I get to fill up my gas tank (when's the last time you've said that?). 500 miles on the Trip Meter.

Gas clicks off at a little less than 10 gallons, under $30.00. Darn it, something's wrong with the gas tank, gas guage, gas something. Try to put more gas in, click, turns off. Again, click, off. Again, click, off. Oh wait, that's all it takes!! Big smile!! Flash big smile at everybody at the gas station (they think I'm crazy). Prance back to my seat (I never prance). I couldn't help but laugh all the way home. I'll take this broken gas tank, gas guage any day.

Hah! I too filled my tank up only mine was just below the half level. I figured since gas is only going up-up-up, I might as well not wait for it to go up yet higher. I think I put in about $17 worth. It might last me 3 to 4 weeks!
