I just got my new 2010 Prius V. When I got, it had 1 mile on it. It's white/tan, leather, nav, bluetooth, heated seats, rocker, camera, LED head lights, and fogs. Plus, much more premium options. I shopped and studied lots of the Prius forums and got great perspective from lots of people here.

Finally, I bought the car on 1-11-11. Here's what I paid: $29,100. Plus, taxes & reg for CA. I got $1000/off and 0% finance. Put, $4k down. Plus, 2yr maintenance free. Good deal, I think, when I compared to what others paid .

I can't believe how awesome this car is! I've always been a BMW and MBZ guy for the last 10yrs. Previously, I owned a '08 E350. Then, I got a '10 C300. Both beautiful cars. However, I started to notice so many Prius' on the road and found myself taking 2-3 looks at it. The newer 2010s looked great. Meanwhile, here I was cruising in my brand new Benz, getting 18-20/miles/gal. Sure, I looked good, but I was paying thru the nose! I can afford things, but still, money is something I want to keep.

Guess what? After all the studying I did, I decided to get a Prius 5.

I am here to tell you...this car is the best car I have ever owned (besides my '95 chevy S10 truck). This Prius 5 is so awesome, I can't believe all the technology! It's way more advanced that any MBZ I've owned and experienced.

The money I'm saving is unbelievable. Also, I just love to drive it.

I have a White/Tan, so the car looks really really good.

I'm a very happy customer and glad I decided to buy it. :)

You sound like one happy Prius owner. Congrats on your new Prius and welcome to PriusChat.

I absolutely love this car even with some of it's quirks which to me are non-critical issues.

Read your owner's manual and check out "hill assist". I love this feature.

What name did you give your new Prius?

    Happy Motoring,

    Tom

Welcome aboard. Did it come with ATP? Seems like a great deal. Enjoy the ride.

    Hi All

Thanks for your replies and welcoming me.

    Welllllllll.......

I just finished the weekend, taking my family out for a ride in my new Prius 5. Guys, Really, I cannot tell you how awesome this car is compared to my late 2008 MBZ E350 AND my newer 2010 MBZ C300. Actually, there is NO comparison!

The Prius 5 blows my other 2 cars away! Period. Look, I have every reason to support the Benz and I loved my cars while I had them. But, no longer. I owned by E350 for 2 yrs, then turned it in. Got a new 2010 C300. Had the car for 9 months, and then got this Prius 5. The Benz is gonzo. The only car i drive now is my Prius 5. The car is unbelieveably awesome.

    To answer your questions:

Yes, I have the ATP. It came with most of the options except solar or sunroof. I didn't want those options.

Prior to buying this car, I slightly hesitated because some people in these chat rooms complained about: the R beeping, or the coins storage, or the console storage, or the blah-blah-blah. Actually, now that i know what these people are referring to/experiencing, I reminds me of the pesimistic idiot who won $80mm in the Lottery only to say, "gosh now I have to pay more in taxes this year!" Anybody who complains about this car should turn it in and go hide under a crater on mars.

    Anyway, I love this car!

Talk about an enthusiastic new owner! Someone call the Toyota media and get this guy on film before he sobers up!

I love the paragraph above and couldn't agree more. Though there are always a few little quirks with everything (and I mean EVERYTHING), it does sometimes seem petty to dwell on a few.

I hope you continue to enjoy your new Prius. I wish I could see the expressions on your friends' faces when you tell them that you replaced the Benz with the Prius.

Time to change the package to the AT package instead of Executive (Which is a European Prius model).

Yeah, the amount of technology on this new Prius is incredible (even just regular vehicle technology such as those found in the ATP).

Back up beeper can be changed to single beep by the dealer. My dealer did it no charge during the first 5k service..

    Other things you should know---

I just didn't do regularly due dligence and studying of the prius and reading of this Chat Room.

Truth be known is this...I've had the unique priviledge to actually work as in-depth consultant, with full access to property sites, records, and people at Toyota. That is full access to every/anything at each of the 8 Toyota Plants in NAmerica, including Canada. So, my perspective is a bit more than most others. I got to see "how" things were made, including the engineering, suppliers, QA, etc etc. I got to know the GM and presidents at each site. Actually, I worked with them on some special project coming from TMC (if you guys know who that is!). My work lasted for 9 months.

Anyway, you combine the research and inside knowledge/perspective I gained from Toyota, I think I made a very informed decision.

I just got into the car this morning to drive to work, I told myself the moment I sat "I really love this car!"
