I would keep a stiff brush and brush off my shoes or boots before I'd bring that much snow into my car. Spills from a drink are one thing, but it is possible not to track an inch worth of snow/water into one's car if one is loathe to do so.

At the very least I'd get an old towel or something absorbent and not let puddles remain.

:D When was the last time you dealt with a foot+ of snow? Followed by 3 weeks of slush and crap? There's a reason these mats are built the way they are, and it's not for the occasional spilled coffee.

That said, I dump mine out often during these very wet/snowy days otherwise all that water just winds up condensing on the inside of your windows.

I wanted to see how much water these mats would hold without spilling over the side of the mats, thats why I did not clean my boots before going in. There was alot snow of snow here in central jersey (about 21 inches) this past Christmas week, I would have normally clean it out, never letting that much water on the mats. as you can see by the pic no water spilled over the side
I agree with you Judgeless about the ridges to hold the water and keep it from your shoes and pants, for me thats not a concern when i am wearing my work boots which are waterproof
Blur510- just pull hard on the anchors they will come out, they snap on and off

Thanks! I just oredered me some from Streetside.

I have had Weathertechs before, but for the prius I wanted a mat that covered the entire dead pedal, and the Weathertechs did not. Hope the Huskys are nice.

TY Papa Gallo you have made up my mind as to which mats to get for my Prius.

I have a question for anyone who may have the Husky Liner WeatherBeater Cargo Liner. Does it cover the entire cargo area even the little wings in the rear the right, left of the cargo area? Also on the Husky site it says that it provides protection to the back of the second row seats, can anyone elaborate on that statement and provide a picture of there's? The photo on the Husky site is a default generic picture.

Thanks to all for the insights on the floor mats. I opted to order the Huskey Weatherbeaters (tan) from Streetside and they arrived today! Outstanding! The fit is perfect on my new 2010, about as custom as you can get! The rear sheet covers perfectly! The quality and finish is excellent. I was very impressed with the fine folks at Streetside. As friendly and helpful as one could ask for ..... and the $10 discount and free shipping make it one heck of a deal!

I'm certain you will be pleased! No problem getting those carpet hooks out of the drivers side ... they are the expansion plug type. Just lift up on the hook end, and use a small blade screwdriver or even a table knife to push against and effectively sqeeze the center core that goes thru the carpet. It will lift out easily and can be stored on the OEM carpet eyelet for future use. Enjoy!

I just today received my full set up from street side. They fit great! I used a website "retailmenot" and they had a coupon code that was good for 10 percent off the whole order ($17 and change). I had them delivered within 2 days for $154 and change. Next onto the blue led upgrade. Dave

I ordered mine 2 weeks ago from autoanything when they had the 27% discount if one orders the floor mats and trunk mats together. It came out to $169.99 for both including tax. I received mine last week. I didn't remove the original mats. I just put the new mats over the old ones. I only installed the floor mats. I probably won't install the trunk mats for a while.

 Why did you do that?? The Huskey instructions even emphasize that it is necessary to remove the factory mats to achieve a correct fit! They are sculptured to fit on the floor carpet, and the "sidewalls" then match up perfectly to the floor contours.

After driving my Tacoma for 14 years and over 200k the heel on the stock floor mat and the carpet is starting to wear a hole to the metal.

    Got mine yesterday--they are superb!

When I lived in PA! And I used a brush I kept in the car to get the worst of the snow off my knee high boots!

Just today, I received an e-mail from Streetside with a couple of coupon codes that are good through 01/17/11. "cabin20" is good for $20 off an order of $150 or more. ( "cabin50", $50 off $300 or more)

I got my Husky Liner WeatherBeater floor liners in last night the 21st I ordered them on 1-14-11 from www.huskyliners.com/. I have a bisque interior and originally had black carpet mats. I decided to go with black huskies in the first and second row for the cargo area I chose grey. I removed the carpet mats and drivers side retainers and installed the huskies. The fit well and look great I am very pleased. I no longer have to worry about muddy wet boots. The cargo liner slightly hampers access to the underfloor storage area but it covers the entire floor and has a high edge.

Thanks Ed, for posting the pics!
After much time and study (and a LOT of help from this thread) I went ahead and ordered the front and rear set in black (Blizzard/Bisque here as well) from Amazon.com for $102 with free 2nd day air shipping (Amazon Prime member).
Ordered on Thursday evening; they should be here tomorrow.
    Good luck with your set!

BTW did you notice if having the Husky cargo mat had any effect on sound/noise from the rear?

    I am so jealous.

I wasted my money on the Toyota OEM mats. They were junk.

I wasted my money on the Weather Tech mats and water leaks all over my floor.

I really should spend the money on a third set of mats. These look good.

It is hard to believe that you have a car that is this high tech and so many people screw up a simple floor mat design.
