Last week's LKA demo was at least the third major Prius product placement in Bones. Besides the NAV demo mentioned, there was an earlier demonstration of the EV mode when they needed to creep up on a suspect without being heard. Bones says "This car has a battery only mode that make it completely silent." which they then used to sneek up on the suspect, surprise him and captured him.

Also the main character in Numb3rs drives a G2. In fact, the car was caught up in a gun battle a couple of seasons ago.

I've been watching Lie To Me lately on Netflix and really enjoy seeing Tim Roth drive his Gen III around D.C.
I cringed when his teenaged daughter backed it into a fire hydrant though. Was that really necessary??

It is hilarious when some tv series blatantly showcase a whole manufacture's line of their vehicles. I notice it most with Ford.

I'm not from here so product placement is blatant in my eyes. Of course, I'm a fan of Prius-spotting. Gotta feel for my automobile. ;)

I enjoy seeing Prius, and other products I use on TV (and movies) as product placement. But I do find this to be a bit of shameless advertising especially since I have to sit through way too many television commercials. When going to the movies, didn't I already pay to be able to watch a commercial-free movie? I'd hope product placement would be a means of reducing tv ad time, but alas, this is not the case. Sorry to rant, but I'm reaching my commercial saturation point, including internet tracking software and cookies.

    Happy Motoring,

    Tom

They've changed the name from that show to Chevrolets in Hawaii, it's shameless. Last week during a chase scene with a Mustang and a Cruze chasing it I told my wife no way they will let a Ford outrun that Chevy. All the cops had impalas, too.

Haha. I saw that one. In the show they said the mustang was a rental. It was an 04 model. The mustang rolled and the driver dies. How predictable was that?

All the GM products are always spotless and clean.

That show is such a trainwreck, you just gotta watch it! :D
