Yes it is our farm. Our water is County water but we get it at a Agricultural rate. IDK about the quality of the life, but the surroundings are pretty.
It looks so remote I wasn't sure if you had to dig a deep well. Have you ever heard of crop mobs? They're taking hold in varying locations. Volunteers come and work for free (well, except for a lunch that you'd host). Nice way to get labor on the cheap. I think you can join and solicit a mob near you. Get Involved // Crop Mob I'm not sure if it's reciprocal or not.
Thanks for the information it looks like a good program and worth looking into. I did not see one in my area I shall look in to it though.
I know. I checked the same thing but I saw that based on the website info, it seems that you can request a mob at your site. Some requests appear to go dormant, others not. Maybe yours won't. Good luck!
i think, after all the information presented here, the reason for higher prices should be evident. whole foods is pricier than your local supermarket. it's about locally grown, fresh organic (no pesticides, organic ferilizer, etc.) food. it costs more to produce and therefore, costs more to buy.
Agreed! Except some places like Nugget market don't need to charge a premium for non-produce like C&H sugar! then again they have to pay for their fancy stores somehow. Thanks for your post, dustoff003.
I think after all the information presented here it's clear that family farmers need a raise. A necessary commodity for all, yet it's not valuable enough to us.
i just asked my daughter if anybody ever tries to haggle at the fm. she said not very often. but at the ski hill where she is working, people try to haggle on the lift tickets all the time!
Some things are worth haggling. I just haggled my cable provider down $480/year on my package. Just goes to show how much they've been fleecing me for if they can come down that much.
you know, i've been thinking of threatening comcast with verizon if they can't reduce my monthly. i think i just might do it. thanks! any tips?
Comcast is my provider. If they're running a promotion, they will (should) discount your package accordingly. Usually, they will only reduce my package for about 6 months but this time locked me in for a one year period. I call about once a year. Verizon will only discount if you reduce services.
I thought the original apple came from the Original Garden in Eden. Of course, you may really be saying that Kazakhstan may be the original Garden of Eden! LOL... Happy Motoring, Tom
