I got those same mats and although I havent checked the precise fit, I really question their cost when I got them. I also bought the cargo liner, although not as heavy, a much better fit and it has about a 1 inch lip all the way around.

I dont know if they will take them back but if they will I am going to return them and buy either the Huskys or the laser measured liners by weathertec...i think those are the ones with the lip all the way around.

    Anybody have those?

    SPH-P100 ?

I hate when a company sells a product as simple as a floor mat to protect your car from bad weather that does not do that job. I contacted the company and they claim no one else has these issues.

You can clearly see from the pictures I have posted that these mats will dump water or mud all over your Prius. The pictures are real and the mats are defective. I will continue to posts this info over and over to inform others of this defective product.

I have a question. Why do so many people post that they love these mats? If you are not going to use them in bad weather they work great. Why not just keep the ones you have.

Did they change the design? There is no way if water gets on the mat with a border this small that it will not run off to the carpet.

    This is what happens.

I still think it is funny they call the company WeatherTech and the produce mats that do this.

I eyeball measured the lip on the mats for my GENII and they appear similar to the geniii mats. I work outdoors a lot and track water into the car with my treaded cowboy boots but have never had an issue with water spilling onto the carpet. The mats work perfectly for my needs.

Judgeless, do you lives in a snowy region and thus track a lot of water into the car?

Yes I live in Cleveland and we get a lot of snow. I ordered the Toyota OEM Winter Mats with the car. With out weather mats your carpet turns into a big chunk of salt. The ribs on the WeatherTech mats route all the water to the spot in my picture.

That makes sense. I don't have to deal with snow and as we all know, boots covered in snow will drag large amounts of water into the car. These mats may not be the answer for those who live in snowy areas.

Here's my "tan" ones that have been returned. Apparently they dropped a red rose into their dye lot or something - just my guess about why the color does not match what's advertised on their website.

I do not predicate this company will be around long term. How hard is it to produce a weather proof mat? This company failed!! Buy the Husky mats.

As I had mentioned above I called WeatherTech to cancel my order and I guess that did not happen. A month later WeatherTech billed my credit card for part of my order and shipped me the cargo liner. They are charging back my credit card and sending a return shipping label for the cargo liner. While I had it I could not resist opening and putting it in the car so I could post some pics for you all. I went out and removed my Husky Liner cargo liner and took these enjoy. I posted pics of my Huskies in PapaGallo's thread.

I ordered these on 1/24, and received them yesterday. Not bad, considering they were on a FedEx truck for a few days due to weather.

I really like the mats - very good fit. My only complaint is the cheap holders. I didn't compare to the original and just assumed they were different. They're not. I now know they include them in the case that you didn't get the carpet oem mats. Both broke when installing, but I just put back the original holder clips with no problem.

I won't post pictures, since they're identical to Dustoff003's right before this post.

Again, they seem to be very high quality and good fitting mats.

Anyone have a picture of either the weathertech digital fit or the husky mats in tan inside a 2010 prius with the bisque interior? I really would like to see if either tan mats come close to matching the carpeting/leather colour as others have said it looks somewhat red.

Thank you all for this thread, i had Weathertech on previous cars and was ready to pull the trigger again until i found these pictures of the drivers side, i was not happy with the prices they charge compared to others so this time i went with Husky and i have to say i am so glad i did. Perfect fit, no odor, wont slide and half the cost thanks to the coupons posted on this thread. :)

My Weather Tech mat are for a 2010 Toyota Prius. Here is a pictures the defective design.

If you believe they have changed please take your cell phone camera and take a pic of this section of the mat for us to see. If it is the same you will get this every time the mats get wet.

I rip them because they are DEFECTIVE!!! I am shocked that people are ok with this defect.

I just noticed you live in MN. If they did not make a change you are going to hate these mats the first week you own them. Snow is the worst thing for the mats. The first day of snow you will find your feet sitting in 2” of water that sloshes from side to side because there are no fins.

Overall, I think that the Weathertechs have a more premium look and feel than the Husky's
    ---HOWEVER---
That the WT's have holes in them for the mat hooks to come through and the shallowness of the perimeter ridge eliminated them from my list of choices for here in snowy NJ.
The holes alone are a leak that will happen-soaking the very carpet that you're looking to protect.
Judgeless shows in his photos an accurate and repeatable result of these design choices. If the "new" design corrects these two flaws (1 major-1 minor), they'd be back on my list again for future purchase.
The Husky's, to me, are lightweight and cheaper in feel-not as substantial as the WT's, but, in the end, it's about the protection of the car and carpet. In my consideration, the Husky's win.
    That's where my money went....

If they changed the design I will call them on Monday and ask for a replacement. The current version clearly has a major design flaw. These defective mats are not cheap.

I'd be very interested in knowing myself. If they send you photos of the "corrected" mats would you be so kind as to post them?

    Thanks!

I will post anything. I would be nice if someone that just purchased the mats would take a pic. If they can not post the pic I would be glad to. I really do not belive they changed their design.

Nor do I, as it would take a new tooling (and reasonable expense) to make it happen.
    You never know, though......:p
