Hello everyone. This is my first post and also first thread on Priuschat. I come from a racing background with my 2003 wrx sti and was forced to buy a DD when I turned my Subaru into a full track car. I thought u all would love to see how my prius is turning out to be more of a cliche then what Toyota designed it to be lol.

    Car.
    2008 Prius
    40k miles
    48mpg

    Mods
    K&n panel filter
Port and polished tb, intake manifold by my company socalporting.com
    Ev mod. "Diy ev button"
    Diy chassis brace
    Diy rally mud flaps
    Diy front lip
    Diy roof vortex generator
    Custom cat back
    Painted red toe hook
    OEM WRX wheels tires
B&G performance springs not shown in pics will update
12in sub and amp custome made by me aswell
    Hawk hp pads.

This car now performes very well and also gets me very good mileage. I know its not for everyone but thought people would like to see.

Also this is my DD Prius so its not at all going to be like my subaru showed above hahaha. Just a rally/TIME ATTACK inspired Prius that I do mess around with on and off the track lol.

    Aloha and Welcome!

Where are the pictures of both cars? I am very curious about your Prius. I wish I had an STI I sold my 2005 Saab 92-x Aero, because the wife was to lazy to drive a standard XMSN auto. It did not have as much power as an STI but it was a blast to drive. I would like to get a STI someday I thought about trading my old car for one but I did not like the new body style. I really wanted a Legacy GT wagon but they quit making those. I do like the quietness of Prius at a stop, but I still miss that flat four exhaust note. Are you going to track your Prius? There is a cool thread of someone racing there's on a road track with a dash cam. All you can hear is the VSC alarm in every corner but it put up a decent lap time.

Hey that not bad at all. I've had my Prius on the track mostly just for fun but I usually do canyon runs or dirt roads because of the soft suspension is forgiving hahaha. I have a set of B&G springs that I was asked to review but haven't had the time to track it since.

Forum requires 5 post before u add links so 2 down 3 to go

I think it's interesting that you're building the car with both Rally/Time Attack in mind sicne they're such different beasts (suspension setup, in particular). Also: how do you have a 2003 WRX STi since Subaru started selling them in the 2004 model year in the US (assuming you live in the US - note that I would love a JDM EJ207 STi)?

I'm interested: How much difference does the ported head make? I know the bolt spacing for the Prius is the same as the WRX - didn't know if the offsets would work. Apparently if you put WRX stockers on your Prius, it does work.

^^ U are 100% correct on that. My vehicle is a 2003 WRX with a complete 04 sti swap from complete engine EJ257, trans, interior, exterior, ect. Didnt mean to confuse u But I just assumed no one would care that I did a swap hahaha. Subaru makes 408HP on E85 great track car...
Prius makes 1/4 that but Im not done with it yet!!! lol. But with tires alone this thing turned into a differant beast all together. sways and springs are a must.....

Ill post more pics tonight to show my car after the suspension setup!

Hmmmm not bad...better than stock at least. Stick around these forums, we could use a guy like you.

    I'm on H&R springs BTW. I considered B&G but it's not raked.

What is that line of little bumps running along the top of the rear window?

^ that's my take on a vortex generator. Its creates an aerodynamic surface.

The drop is 1.4"F/1.0"R. These were taken a couple days after installation. They probably have settled a bit more the past few months.

I think I'm done modding my car...

I just posted a new pick in the OP with the B&G springs. I think Ill write a review. The drop is about 11/8 front and 1in rear. its a nice drop but I can tell that the H&R's are a tad more in the front. with my 16in wheels there is basically no fender gap.

The drop looks great! Let us know how your ride is. Mine's well....a little worse than before. But that was expected.

Well after a few months I'm really enjoying the ride on these springs. I just installed some potenza tires and I really feel as if I can go around a corner just as fast as my subaru sti. I only could wish I knew how to turn off traction control
