Now the only thing your missing is some good spray tire treatment to make them dark black and shiny!....
A clean polished car without tires being black and shiny is like wearing a suit and tie with unpolished shoes!

    Its the finishing touch!

    Try this:
WHEEL HUB CENTER 4 CAP FOR 2004 to 2010 TOYOTA PRIUS: eBay Motors (item 150492984669 end time Sep-18-10 08:59:49 PDT)

The bidding starts at $.01. You might find yourself outbid, but you'll then get a "second chance" notice through eBay that the seller will do the deal for the $.01- so they'll cost $13.00 shipped.
If you read this too late for this auction check the seller's "other" auctions: he'll have more of the same listed, but for different prices. Just search out the $.01 set.

    Yep, that's the guy...

Wow, wish I'd known that, I'd have saved $3.00! Oh well, I had $17.00 in PayPal rebates sitting in my account, so they were essentially free...

Do you know how long it takes for them to arrive? I purchased then about a week ago, and I know they are coming from Hong Hong...

I think that he states 2-3 weeks to the US, but checking his feedback there are many comments about how fast the items arrived....

Thanks for the tips in this thread!

Just received my caps from the eBay seller in Guangdong China. Got them in less than a week and they're exactly what I wanted/needed.

The wheels now look WAY better than w/the wheel covers!!
    :cheer2:

Got them for $19 (1 cent plus $18.99 shipping) but the seller raised the price to $22.99 w/free shipping). Guess there's too much demand. ;)

If you need a set, here's the selller's current eBay ad: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220735441444&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT

Finally jumped the gun and bought some. It really completes the look. Someone was staring at my car today haha. They were 15.95 a piece at my Toyota dealer. However, they're good quality.

They were plastic, which SURE is expensive for what you get - but they look and feel very solid.

    $15.95 EACH?!!!!

You could have got 4 of them off eBay for $23 (the current price w/free shipping) and they look and fit just fine. Oh well . . .

Bleh I know oh well FML. Don't make myself get any more pissed than I already am.

EDIT: The ones on eBay seem a little different - I like mine a tad more - but it's still not worth the 15.95.. Oh well I mean.. bleh

I'm at a decision point now, after a couple nights ago. Hit one of the famous NE Ohio road craters hard enough to suffer a concussion, and lost one of my wheel covers. Per the dealer, $77.02 to replace the wheel cover.

Looking at the blue car in post 201, that is exactly what my car is. Thinking now that I might just want to get the caps and begone with the wheel covers.

The only think I'm wondering about is whether the rotors get any abuse from water in puddles from similar road craters. Of course the rotors probably cool a lot more without the wheel covers so it might be a tradeoff.

(Note, I didn't get to read the whole post. Will do that later.)

Even w/the covers on, water, etc. is going to get to the rotors but that doesn't seem to affect brake/rotor operation on cars w/similar wheels. So, I don't think that matters in terms of deciding whether to get the caps or not.

The covers theoretically improve mileage (albeit marginally) but that's enough of a reason for some people to keep them on and some people opt to keep the covers to protect the wheels from rocks and curb rash.

FWIW, it seems that people (like me) who choose the caps, discount these factors, and buy them mainly because they "look" better to them on the wheels than the covers do.

Hope that helps you in making a decision. :juggle:
