I am curious if anyone has the same problem that I have. I just bought a 2010 Prius II in January 2011. I have to slide the driver's headrest all the way down so that I can check my blindspot when driving. What I find absolutely irritating is that the stupid headrest vibrates upward so that I can not check my blindspot. Everytime I slide the headrest down it vibrates upward again. I swapped out the driver and passenger headrest and this continues to be a problem. I took my Prius iunto the dealership and explaind the problem and they said they were unaware of this being a problem. I asked the dealer to swap out my headrests with two new headrests and the problem continues.
My next step is to tell the dealer to replace the entire driver's seat. Id anyone else aware of this or have a problem with the driver's seat headrest vibrating or sliding upward on it's own?

    Thanks!

It makes no difference to me what position the headrests are in so I can't tell you if they crawl up over time by design. However, you should try adjusting the side view mirror outward until you can no longer see the side of the car (with your head against the pillar). That helps tremendously with blind spots.

There's been a few threads about this issue. It seems the headrest detents could be slightly better notched to keep the headrest in place. My driver headrest rises about 2 clicks. Check out some of the existing threads. This slight rising does not afffect the safety of the headrest.

Wow, that's amazing. There's enough vibration in car to cause headrest to climb up?

Never happened in the rentals, but I likely had headrest full up anyways.

After the mice have had their fill of the organic fiber Toyota stuffed inside your seat cushions, they celebrate by raising the goal posts.:D

Mine does this too. My wife thinks it's because of the shape of the back of my head.

The driver's head restraint blocks the view to the rear? How do you guys sit? What do the side-view mirrors have to do with anything? They shouldn't show any part of the car.

I do fold the Rear head restraints forward when there's nobody in the back seat.

Is your name Regan by any chance? I can't see my headrest but I do fold down the rear head rests to see back. I think your headrests are possessed.
