    Hey guys,

I just bought a used 2010 Prius II today, and I ordered a few things right away:

    - Rosen Navigation Head Unit
    - Rosen Ipod/Sirius/Tuner Kit
    - Rosen Back-up Sensor Kit
    - Rosen Universal Backup Camera

Total was $1,146.90 shipped from www.trailduty.com

I also ordered up some Husky Liners from Performance Auto Parts, Truck Accessories, and Sports Car Parts Gear for $146.04 using the husky2011 coupon code, which took $19.92 off the price.

That covers everything I needed...help me spend my hard earned money on things I may want for this car???? Anything in particular I'll need for it, or is highly recommended?

I think you are set from an audio/visual standpoint. You might want to look into the illuminated door sill and fog lights. Click on "Shop" at the top.

There's another thread (sorry but I can't find it) which talks about changing the interior lights in the car. I changed my interior lights because my girlfriend likes the "whiter" lights for when she puts on her makeup, instead of the factory "yellowish" lights.

I'm saving up for the Rosen unit you just purchased, so I haven't done anything else. If you want to spend a lot of money, go to the modification forum and search on HawaiianBuilt (or something like that). You'll be mortgaging the family home to do what he did. He probably spent in modifications about what he initially paid for the car.

LOL...thanks man. I never leave anything stock, that's for sure, but I'm trying to keep this one as simple as possible...nothing over the top. I appreciate the help,

Looks like my Rosen either shipped this afternoon or will get picked up tomorrow, so that's exciting news. And, it looks like my husky's are scheduled to be here on Friday.

I'm thinking about doing a video install of the Rosen, the backup sensors, backup camera, etc. Does anyone have any particular questions about the install, the unit itself, or anything they feel hasn't been covered on these units that may be helpful?

    Luck!

My Rosen just arrived today. I didn't order a backup camera or rear sensor but have changed my mind and ordered them today. I will install the whole mess at once when the sensor and camera arrive.

I'd love to see how it displays the track/artist/etc names on Sirius -- does it display them in full, scroll through the names, cut them off, etc.? Also, I'd like to see some screen shots (nav, radio, etc.) while the car is on (I know there are a few shots on ADC's web page, but I'd like to see more.). Thanks!

Just a thought - while you are in there, mount a decent inverter, and run the extension cord ($3 at Home Depot) up front under a seat.

At minimum, id install a random extension cord while you have everything open. That way, when/if you decide to put in an inverter, you'll just plug in to the inverter

Why there instead of someplace more accessible for when the inverter takes a dump?

There is a lot to install, for sure. Yikes...I haven't even got to the backup stuff yet. Placed the sirius sensor and gps sensor on the passenger side inside the vehicle just to the left of the speaker grill...it seemed like the easiest location. I'm having trouble figuring out where one of the factory connectors goes, though. It doesn't fit anywhere on the Rosen...I'm thinking it's the steering wheel controls, but I don't see a plug for it from Rosen.

That's a good idea, but you're delaying my time till completion...lol. I'd probably opt to mount the inverter itself under the passenger seat, though, but not sure I'm going to tackle that right now. This alone is plenty right now, I think.

Here's a short video of the basic operation of the Rosen (Prius Model Not Pictured):

    Lots more to come.
