That's a good price. Is there a $500 rebate on the 2011 Prius down in Southern Cali?

I tried multiple dealers online and the best price I could find was a few hundred above MSRP OTD before rebate.

No Nav or Sunroof. It did come with a chrome strip on the bottom of the doors and a rear bumper protector. They threw in the wheel caps because I don't like the plastic wheel covers.

I'm bummed my Prius in Blizzard Pearl sale fell through due to a dealer trade problem but just confimred my second choice color option is available. I'm told the sold sign is now on the car so fingers crossed I should be picking up a Prius III with Nav in Winter Gray with Dark Gray interior. Price is $24,358 with 0% APR so I'm happy!...I think!..lol.

Well after much disappointment and other deals slipping the cracks I've been reduced to this offer, a 2010 Prius II red with Biege interior no options for $21,916.00 with $712.27 tax, $60.00 DMV fee, $288.00 processing fee no other additional fee's, Total = $22,976.27 with 0% financing. Is this deal ok to pull the trigger tomorrow or what do you guy's suggest?

If you have AAA or a costco card try going through their program.

Try Truecar.com and see if what you are getting is a good price for your area for a 2010 and if you like that price more have the dealers contact you.

You should be able to get a 2010 model for like 1000-1500 under invoice easy with those programs.

If you do indeed have costco try

    Welcome to Costco Auto Program

You can see what kind of deal you are getting

dealerships here through Truecar are offering 2010 models anywhere from 20,800 all the way to 21,500 which is cheaper than the deal you are getting/

this is invoice! $22,192 in my area for a II with nothing so looks like they are giving you 200 and some change off it

Yesterday I went to Truecar and found the local prices people were paying for a for a 2011 II Basic Model with Floor mats. They had Dealer cost at 22,087. The average paid locally was $22,646. I decided I was comfortable with $22,000 OTD + TTL . I called McCord's Vancouver (WA) Toyata and talked with Internet Fleet manager Flynn Bernardi. I asked him if he could do the above pricing. In 15 minutes I had a quote with a VIN number. I called our closest dealer (Broadway Toyota) and got Fleet Manager Jerry. I asked him if he could do the same thing. He said he didn't think they could go that low but he would get back to me if they could and he never did.

Today my wife and I drove out to McCord's Vancouver Toyota, met with Flynn, and 1 hour and twenty minutes later drove home with a Silver 2011 II with floor mats. OTD $22,000 + $430 TTL. And because we live in Oregon: No Sales Tax!

This was definitely the easiest and smoothest new car purchase I have been involved with. Everyone was helpful and friendly. I have a feeling I could have gotten a couple of hundred dollars more off if I wanted, but I'm happy.

I went through Autoland (a West coast broker that works through credit unions) and purchased a 2010 (built 10/2010) Blue Prius III with bisque interior for $22,873 OTD. Easiest car-buying experience I've ever gotten. Did everything at the local Credit Union and never stepped foot at a dealer. Nothing extra except floor mats and rear bumper applique.

    Hi there,
I thought it might be fun and interesting to have a European price on this thread (haven't read them all, so perhaps there's one already).
I live in the Netherlands. Just (2 weeks ago) bought a Prius 2010 model, picking it up next Friday!
Okay here it goes, against a dollar-euro rate of 1:0.727
    Car plus metalic paint: $36,500
Getting car ready by dealer: $919
    Taxes and small things: $401
    Bike carrier: $1060
    Total: $38,880
I got $2368 discount and $4150 for my old car (about what it's worth).
    Net price: $32,362
I was in a bit of luck because of a special free accessory offer and got the TNS510 NAV system for free, saving me about $1375!

(edited 'cause I reversed the exchange rate :) )
    Cheers:)

Hey all... Thought I'd post a quick link to another thread I started today. I received a flyer from Toyota Southeast Region offering $200 (for both buyer and the person making the referral) for anyone referring someone during the month of March who buys or leases and takes delivery of a new Toyota before March 31st.

I figure lots of folks come to this thread to find out where the best deals are and compare offers. This certificate can be be used with all current incentives, but must be presented at the time of purchase.

I started the thread to offer my certificate to others here that may be in the market and I've already gotten one other member who is willing to share their certificate as well.

So, anyone within the Southeast Region in the market, or an owner who also received one of these certificates and wants to share it, check out this link to see if there is a certificate being offered in your local area. This is definately win-win because the new buyer will get $200 as will the PC Member who refers them. So, if you're in the market and were planning on buying during the month of March anyway, why not hit up a fellow PC member, make his/her day, and save $200 to boot!

Here's a link to the thread: Toyota Loyal Ambassador Certificate

2011 prius model V fully loaded for $34k

    Dealer offered lease $668/per month
    @5% apr
    $17k at the ballon payment

    Trade-in $7800
    amount owed $$10.8k

Given my credit score is sub par and I am not approved for financing I really want to become apart of the Prius family. Not to mentioned I make really good money and can afford the monthly payment.

    Pros:
I have to drive up from Groton, CT to Rhode island then onto Washington state and I do not have room to fit all of my things in my current car.
350z needs about $1750-2500 of work which I don't want to pay for.

    What should I do?

    Sorry for the late reply.
Yes, the $500 rebate is valid for socal also.
You might want to try the Costco program for a good price. I was able to get if for $900 less on my own. Good luck! Let us know how it goes...

Back in august, the two local dealers has a total of about 65 prius cars in stock. They now have a total of 7. Bet the deals are lousy. Supply and demand meets gas prices. I'm surprised anyone is buying for less than msrp-rebate. Of course trade in will be brutal and dealer add-ons should be outrageous.

Personally, I'd opt for one w/o the solar roof unless you must really have it.
Get the tint & sell your Z on your own to save money.

Just bought a Prius IV with nav and floor mats. Price including rebate was 27,400.

The last dealer I went to didn't have the best price (I could have gotten it for 27,200) but I was so sick of dealing with dealers, the games, the BS, and wasting my time that I couldn't take it anymore.

I've never owned a new car before, and I had my last car for 11 years. Feels very odd and unsettling.

I was going to get a Prius V but the worse mileage on the 17" wheels, coupled with the fact that I really only wanted the V headlights didn't make it worth paying an extra 1200-1600 to me. Plus they didn't have the color I wanted (Grey with a dark grey interior).

Wow! If that's OTD, then you got a steal!

That makes me feel good to hear. It isn't easy to write a check for that much money for a depreciating asset, at least for me, but I think all the research and time I spent ended up pointing me at the Prius.

I agree as I paid $1250 for my 8yr/100k warranty, but that was from the dealer I bought the car from after I settled on my price of $26,200 for my Prius III with Solar sunroof & Nav with 0% interest for 60 months. :cheer2:

If you are looking to buy one go to truecar.com

pick the prius you want and you will see that he price you stated for window will be beaten easily. It will find dealers around you so you can go or you can have them contact you. The site will show you what people paid and what invoice is.

If you dont like that pricing you can try Costcoauto or AAA
