Well, the sun has truly shone on me today... I've FINALLY found the Lexus emblems that fit the Prius front and back emblem spots (where it currently has the "T"). I've been looking for them forEVER now, and nobody has been of assistance. I've been met with lots of ridicule for this, but ask me if I care...lol! Of course I care, but it's what I want, and there is obviously a market for it ---- meaning I'm not crazy after all. Anywho, here's the website that just made my year:

Would the ones off the HS250h fit? They are larger than the standard Lexus emblem. Looks to be the same size as our Prius ones and the have the same blue accents.

Well, Aimgain was the first place that I saw with the Lexus emblems on their kit, and according to them, they use the GS350 front emblem for the front
and the rear emblem from Lexus LX470. But, after closer consideration, Aimgain has a completely different front bumper (as opposed to an "add-on" lip to our existing front bumper), so I don't know if that front emblem is the same size or not, since they weren't trying to fill the indentation where the stock emblem was...

Also, no on the Lexus hybrid emblem fitting. Totally different sizes...

Yeah, that is the intent. I mentioned in a post a month or so ago, when I first broached this subject, that they aren't common here at all.....so people already ask me constantly what type of car it is. So, it'll be a light-hearted thing, all meant in good fun.

Sure Aimgain did it, but Aimgain is a show car. Is Aimgain's car even street legal? Is this mod even legal? It might be borderline unsafe. What if you are in an accident, somebody needs to call for help but they can't correctly identify your car. Ok, in all likelihood that won't happen.

You may call me a buzz kill here, but I don't agree with this mod simply because I'm a purist...It's not a Lexus!

But good luck, I love the spirit of a modder.

Sweet. Maybe we can finally achieve this Lexusified Prius?

Thanks to Hawaiianbuilt for originally uploading that photo.

Does anyone remember when the Lexus ES 250 was exactly the same as a Toyota Camry except for leather, lights, emblems and a two-tone paint job?

    lol! you guys are crazy!

I do love the way the Lexus emblem looks on the Aimgain kit. I also like the way it looks on the ASI kit! Hopefully the Kenstyle conglomeration/mix that I'm doing will look equally nice!

Other than the ridiculously overdone front gills, that ASI kit looks decent.

neither is a "Lexus" in Japan.... at least that's what I've been told. Isn't Lexus just something for the U.S., created out of our craving for better and better? It's merely an "L", for "luva"..... lol!! Besides the TOTAL lack of being able to see out of the darned Prius, the one thing I hated from day one was the emblem on it. Then, I saw all these other pics of them all over the internet with the "L" on them.....Looks MUCH better. I'd even get the "L" lighted emblem ...if I could find it. But, it's taken 5 months of daily internet searching to finally be lucky enough to see the website yesterday where they sell those emblems.....specifically for the Prius. Like I said before, it just makes it look totally different to me.....like that emblem was meant to be on there.

It's not a question if it's a Mazda or Toyota or Porsche or Hyundai or Lexus or Chrysler..... I like the way it looks on the car. With the nice kits on the car, the "T" just looks out of place. I know that the topic of redesigning the Toyota emblem popped up several times when I have been doing my intense search online. So, I assume it's of concern to Toyota. I don't like the way it looks.....they don't have a cooler looking one.....but someone else has a cooler looking emblem, so I'm getting it. I don't like the stock wheels, so I'm replacing them. I don't like the blinding sun on the interstate every day....so I installed curtains. I don't like the stock stereo....so it had to go. If I'm stuck with it until I'm given another car in a couple of years, then I'm at least gonna enjoy it and make the most of it! :cheer2: I don't wanna spend my time thinking about what I DISLIKE about it every time I get into it. I wanna say to myself whenever I get in and close the door, "Ah, now this is JUST perfect!" lol

    One word: poser. :lie:

Reminds me of BMW owners who slap a ///M badge on their standard BMWs. I'm sure they do it because they like the way it looks on the car... sure. :D

Try to convince yourself otherwise, it won't work for me (or most).
