As much as I cannot stand MS -- and that is a lot -- the bribing of Nokia to have an outlet for WP7 was really smart. And if WP7 succeeds, so will 'Zune.' The hardware mp3 player is a minor setback in the larger picture.

Oh this thread is so 2010:D Eric Schmidt is out in just a couple weeks. Personal media players are already prolifierating into all sorts of different devices. A few years ago, I saw Bill Gates address the CES crowd about how Microsoft was focusing on personal mobile device interfaces (IE...you use your phone to select hot spots in the area to draw up info: be it movie times/reviews...restaurant reviews, etc). I was looking forward to seeing what "smartphone" devices Microsoft was going to unveil. There are some users of Blackberry, Iphone, and (what I think will be the major OS) Android phones. I still favor Windows for my 3D workstation OS (Windows 7 64bit), but it's looking like Microsoft is really going to lose market share for personal device OSes.

Daniel got yelled at for saying the "S" word (actually, the BS word, but I don't think it was the "Bull" part that got him in trouble); while I try to learn from my mistakes, I like learning from other peoples' mistakes even more.

The learning process is much faster that way, isn't it? Not to mention less painful. ;)
