Dealer installed sunroof 2010 Prius

I figured it was them. From what I hear, the owner has been around for many years and is a perfectionist. Heard they give great service, too. Alot of dealers use them.

 

Just had mine installed by my dealers installer here in Sunny So. CA. Absolutely satisfied! Structurally sound, looks great and completely enhances the enjoyment of the drive. My unit also has the one touch auto open and close. Also had them locate the switch as pictured below. Thanks Liskipper!

 

I am also in socal, and was thinking of getting sun roof.. Which dealer did the install and about how much was it?

Vehicle was purchased at Longo. They run about 1700 installed..

 

I bought mine at Longo too. I want to get a sun roof.

 

The unit is refined and smooth in its opening and closing. Has a vent mode where the glass tilts and partial to full open mode. No tall wind deflector or glass hanging outside of the roof. The glass recesses into the headliner for a clean, unobtrusive and refined look. The wind deflector extends less than an inch. No noticeable loss of interior headroom.

I initially went through sales and ended up doing an end run to save. My install story is a bit complicated but sales would be your best bet.

 

I'm about to install the 5300 in my prius has anyone noticed any change in MPGS?

 

I sure do love my sunroof and I'm glad I had it installed, but I suspect that it may affect my MPG a little. I didn't think to ask about the weight before I had it installed. I only get around 41-42 MPG in the summer with the A/C going constantly. My MPG improves a lot when it is cooler. It's around 48-50 when it's cooler outside. That is also the best time for a sunroof here in Arizona. I like my face being cool while my body is warm, so I turn on the heat when it is cold and crack open the sunroof.

Good luck to you. Just make sure your sunroof is completely closed before you go through a car wash!
