USB Size limits for flash drive?

    Maybe I am reading your post wrong. Here it is again.
    You claim that FAT32 will impose limitations on the number of files it will read. This not the case. FAT32 will support as many files as you can fit. If you meant that if you put too many songs on a drive the Prius might have a hard time reading them all, then post it that way. FAT32 does not impose limitations on the number of files it will read.

    Judgeless, I believe you misunderstood what hamil33 meant. I think he meant that there may be an upper limit to the number of files the Prius audio/navi system can keep track of when it reads a large FAT32 drive. He may have not stated it as clearly as you might have liked, but the point of this Forum is to share useful technical information, not to attack our fellow users' literary style.

    RichPasco, I agree that the forum is a great way to share data. When people post false data it creates problems. He clearly states that FAT32 will impost limitations. This is 100% false. The guy that posted right after his post asks what the limitations are. There are no limitations.

    If he meant the Prius may have a hard time reading a drive with a lot of files he should post that. It has nothing to do with FAT or FAT32.
