    Ah Doug, we've missed you.

Perhaps you should work up a press release that in light of the reports about Prius brakes, the braking system has been replaced with a hole in the floor so occupants can bring the car to a stop on their own. This feature - in an addition with the intention of reaching a lower-end market - would be offered on the model aptly named the "No Technology" package, which is the extreme opposite of the "Advanced Technology" package.

Man, I should really be in Marketing.

You should, Tony, you should. Although I'd suggest calling it the "Flintstone Package" instead! :)

Change the 'v' name to Prius hv or Prius vh. Some are confusing v with 2010 Prius V. Tough to discern lower/uppercase.

    h - Hybrid Synergy Drive
    v - van / mini van

Couldn't help but notice this in the pressroom:

TORRANCE---Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A, Inc., today announced the latest members of the Prius family of hybrid automobiles, the Prius vXL and the Prius c-RZX11.

The vXL will be the much anticipated "minivan" with three rows of seating. Pre-production prototypes are already in testing and Toyota is confident that the vXL will be able to obtain efficiency numbers well in line with the rest of the Prius family. The most novel aspect of the vXL is the built-in home theater package option with a drop, custom 50" OLED display and electronics made for Toyota by Conrad-Johnson. When not is use, the theater screen folds up and acts as a sliding moon roof cover. Toyota also announced the vXL will have more than forty cup holders.

The c-RZX11 will be the first "performance" hybrid in the Prius line. This two door coupe will do 0-60 in about five seconds and still deliver fuel economy better than 50MPG (combined). A special edition of the Prius c-RZX11-TG, dubbed Top Gear will also a subsonic seat rumbler and exterior noise package that will create motor noise similar to any supercar the driver wishes (with more then two dozen choices). It is also the first car to have a built-in Viagra™ dispenser.

    Thanks a lot, Erika!

I'm sick today and it took me awhile to ponder the rediculous idea before I read the rest of the post. : p

They should rename the Prius c to the Prius p. Then the regular Prius could be the Prius pp. The Prius v could then be the Prius ppp.

Now the plug-in could be the Prius p-in-p.

    You're welcome.

I got the gift too . . . . and Tony I might add - GREAT ideas. Along with your hole in the floor? That "No Technology" model ought to include pedals. Not only is that still with in the purview of no tech ... we can get "Obese America" back into decent shape ... as part of one's daily commute!
    Man ... WE are HOT.

Another vote for Prius Wagon. Honda has the CRX, CRV, and CRZ, and it can be confusing to those unfamiliar with the lineup. Very distinct models should be distinguished by more than just a single letter. It's more consumer-friendly.

Tony, you are brilliant! A likely side effect would be increased gas mileage, since drivers would naturally try to brake as little as possible.
