Wow , you know your shyt F8L, thanks again for the heads up, now i can only keep my fingers crossed and pray and also keep looking out my rear view mirrors, yikes. I may have to turn on my parking lights or headlights when I see a po po behind me to at least show something red lol. And I teach in the hood (South Central LA) and I know there are a lot of po po's here too, ugh lol

Nah, I'm just awesome at searching the intraweb. :D

I think keeping your headlights on is a great idea. You'll attract less attention (from da po po) if some red is showing and it will be safer for you and other drivers.

I think it looks great. The wheels and rims especially. But like others I'm afraid your going to run into "legal" problems with those lights.

But you've created a very unique and distinctive Prius.

I totally agree with you -- we all have own tastes and style. Regardless of what people think about your mods, I appreciate what you've done to make your ride unique. I'm doing some major mods to my car in the few weeks and I'm sure everyone isn't going to love them as much as me! lol

Anyway, on to my opinions... I like the overall blue/black theme of your car -- I love the tint (20%?) and blacked out taillights. As others have said, I think the blacked out headlight sidemarker is a bit distracting. I do like some tire stretch on wheels if the car is really slammed but I think yours are a bit too small for your tire width. Other than that, I think the car looks great!

On a side note, those 19's look really heavy... what kind of mpg are you averaging with those?

Actually the 19's are fairly light because i picked them up myself (minus the tire of course, lol), but I didn't look up the exact weight on the rims yet. I did notice a decrease in mpg's. I was averaging bout 52-54 mpg w/my stock wheels, now i'm averaging bout 46-48 now, but I haven't driven on these wheels too long yet, only bout 170 miles since i got my ride back yesterday.

I think it looks great :)

As others said - keep it legal, but anything to show that Prius drivers aren't all dullards is a good thing.

Looks good. I do agree on the super dark taillights though...rather than being afraid for a ticket from the police...I'd be more afraid if an accident were to ever occur and people involved use your dark tails against you :/

Have you put spacers on the wheels? mine are stock 215's and don't seem as far out the side of the car?

I love the colour, and the dark accents go great with it. I think rather than the blacked out orange reflector you should try smoking the entire light assembly, though not as much as your rears.

No spacers on my ride, the rims just have a high offset. That's an idea to smoke out my headlights, but not as dark :D

If you want to make it "more legal," just tint everything except the red reflectors.

^That would look really goofy though. Most of our opinions have been spot on; the tinted tails look great, but unfortunately its illegal and almost impossible to get around.

Why does everything that looks awesome have to be illegal? Why is everything that tastes delicious, unhealthy? Sometimes life really sucks when you think about it like this.

Redded out taillights would be a much easier modification to stay legal, but I wouldn't do it on blue.

Nice job Chiz,Tastefully done! the first and second photo is all you need,Shows it well! I thought when you said candy cherry tails they would be a little more dark red, kind of dark smoke looking but things always look better in person, but they blend well with the rear of the car! I can't stand the clear tails on the Prius my plan after springs!
    Good Times!

How dark are the tints. I'm getting my 2010 silver tinted soon want them to look just like that. Nice wheels too. How much did you get them for?

I'm always curious why people pluralize tint? I've been in the automotive field for decades and never heard the word used that way until recently on this forum. Is it a regional thing? My old shop even installed the stuff and no one called it tints. :)

Not saying anyone is wrong. Just curious.

Some of it I like, some is not up my alley...but everyone has their own taste/style which makes the whole modding process so interesting. The important thing is that the stuff that you have done has been done well.

I wonder sometimes, if cars came with blacked out tail lights if everyone would be changing them to be red or clear. It's sort of like if you have brown hair you want blonde, and if you have straight hair you want it to be curly...Personally, I'm just glad I have hair.

So, here's my .02 cents. I like the stance of the car; lowered and it gives the impression that it's slightly wider. I like the window tint...just had mine done too. I like the blacked out light on the spoiler. The wheels are ok, but it's a personal thing. In my advancing age, I prefer a little more rubber wrapped around the wheels for comfort, and I never was much for the way the super low-profile tires look. I'm not a big fan of the blacked out tail lights. For whatever reason, I feel that it has been played out. I sort of like the way the plain ol' oem tail lights look. The headlights...I can see where you were going with your thought process, but it came out looking out of place. I like the thin swooping line that it created in the headlight, but the black chunk in the headlight looks like an afterthought.

Again, this is only MY opinion. I think your car looks great, regardless...and I think you did a good job on executing the mods.
