This from a person who, in the political forum suggested that a member/poster euthanize himself, and that we euthanize children who are born, or about to be born less than perfect.

And then you try to convince us that it was a joke, and that you thought it funny, and you think that people who don't appreciate your humor are some how juvinile.

Not so stunning examples of the calibre of your thoughts,, and your hypocrisy.

    Canard. Irrelevant example.

Are you going to borrow money from China to buy $100 worth of Chinese notebooks, No. 2 pencils and backpacks even though you are in hawk to them for trillions already?

Leftists can't even understand the paradigm of fiscal prudence.

And tea party types can't even grasp the fundamental paradigm of reality,, at almost any level.

Here's one bit of reality for you, Jack. You can't keep spending money you don't have.

Have you ever met a payroll by any chance, Mr. Reality?

That's quite a statement coming from a guy on a forum where a major effect of the forum has been to take potentially a billion dollars or more a year away from federal, state and local government through lost gas tax revenue. You just want everybody else to pay their "fair share."

There were years where the balance sheet was in the red. That is why as a business debt management is important. One of the basic natures of debt, particularly public debt, if you invest the money in infrastructure now, you can pay back the debt in cheaper dollars, and possibly get more value for money now.

A great example of this has been the stimulus infrastructure spending. Many, if not most, of the large public infrastructure projects of the last couple of (recession) years came in under, and indeed significantly under original estimates. The program allowed companies to keep working, and to keep their work force working at a time when they might otherwise be idle. It turned out to be a huge win for everyone. More people working reduced potential UI claims (along with other social costs like food stamps) while at the same time providing lasting infrastructure for the good of the country.

I am not however suggesting that all spending ( and borrowing) is good. There does have to be legitimate over sight as well as proper management. If you look at the large public works projects of the 1930's seemed expensive at the time, but most have paid decades long dividends that far out weigh their costs. Examples include, the Columbia River dam system, TVA, Hoover dam, Ft. Peck to name a few.

Even the space program has thrown off way more than it's costs. Satellite communication of course wouldn't be possible, nor would most of the high tech stuff we now do, like tapping away on PCs.

The problem with most "conservatives" is that they lack the long term vision of public investment since they are committed in their soul to reducing the role of government regardless of the efficacy of those programs.

The money is there. It just happens to be being held hostage by GE, Exxon, and just about every corporation you care to name. Once they pay their fare share, that deficit that has you soiling your pampers will go away.

[IMG] Just in the nick of time for those of you who needed another display of immaturity and just so happened to miss ick's desire to engage in an adult conversation over health care! :yo:

Really ick you've devolved into chasing posters from thread to thread for personal revenge because you got scolded for your liberal induced lack of humor and for completely misrepresenting what was obvious to one and all?

Sorry TREB, I will leave it to others to judge who on this forum is engaged in personal attack, personal revenge, lack of maturity, lacking a sense of humor, misrepresenting etc, not you.

Really? It's there? GE earned 100 billion last year before their expenses were covered. (They are one of the top 5 biggest companies in the US.) The US deficit was $188 billion in the month of march alone. Even if you (in your pamper wearing wet dream) confiscated all of GE's earnings, left them nothing to pay their suppliers and employees, you still wouldn't cover 2 weeks of the US deficit.

Quit your lying. You are shameless. The money is not there. You are like 18 year old horn dogs on shore leave in a Mombasa brothel with a case of Viagra. You know no restraint, no brain, only raging hormones.

And when you were in the red, what did you do to address the situation? Please tell me where things such as the travel and entertainment budget went and if you borrowed money, where you INVESTED it.

From here on out, I am going to choose to ignore you unles you chooses to becivioized and stop the infantile attacks.

As for what I did with my debt, I managed I manage it just as any busine does. The difference between people who think like you as contrasted to people who think like me, is that I don't have a rigid, dogmatic, (and ultimately unrealistic) view of how problem are solved.

    Thank you,

    Icarus

And in the spirit of equal time, I would suggest to Steve that he might get more respect by changing his tone as well.

I see you avoided answering specifics like what you did with your T&E budget as well as where your investments went.

Does that mean that even though you were in the red, you still spent money on junkets?

Just like in Obama's budget speech Libs make grandiose claims, horrenous FUD proclaimations and outrageous accusations. That's the standard MO but actually getting them to back those claims with facts? Nothing personal but are you Nucking Futs? The only thing you'll get is obfuscation and more grandiose claims, horrenous FUD proclaimations and outrageous accusations. :yo:

Oh, sorry, I didn't realize GE is the only company on the planet.

Oh, wait, I just remembered, you are always wrong about everything.

I got to get in on this.

    Whats your plan?
    1. Cut taxes on the rich again?
    2. Call people Nazi's and watch Fox news.
    3. Defend companies like GE NOT HAVING TO PAY TAXES????
