So are they the whiteish color as in their pictures? How close is it to the BP?

Not sure who this eBay guys supplier is for the mirror covers but they are actually more of a really light tan color. Definitely would stand out against any of the stock codors. Would definitely need to be painted. Fortunately I got the original JDM factory pieces way back when from Sigma so I already have painted covers.

So Rodney is coming over today to help out as I swap out my factory JDM signal mirrors for the new ones with the puddle lights. Am really looking forward to it. Keep an eye out in the for sale forums as I will be selling the JDM signals with the new unpainted mirror covers. Will post a video when it's all done. Planning on tying in the blue courtesy lights or whatever they're called with the puddle lights so they will light up at the same time. Also, something I noticed yesterday as I pulled into a store parking lot. It looks like from what I'm guessing it was, was a 2010 or older Toyota Avalon uses the same mirror housing with the signals as ours do. Just has a different mounting plate, but for what we are looking for it looks like the exact same piece. May save some headaches for the people who just want the signals and don't care about the extra stuff and it can be gotten fairly easy through the dealer. Would be very interested if someone that works at a dealership if they could research it for us. I will post this in a new thread as well to make it easier to find.

Would someone be willing to do a write up for a sticky on just how to wire these as opposed to having to go through 20+ pages to get all the final answers? It would be a big help to all who are doing this in the future. Thanks. Just a suggestion.

So, could you explain more to me about how one would go about getting the new "fancier" signal mirrors (the ones with the puddle lights) as well as the folding option? Thanks!

Might be available through Priuschat store in the future.

No idea about the folding option, although civicsky and Nigel are possibly researching it.

I was trying to ask CivicSky, but didn't reply correctly I guess, so thanks for taking the time to answer! I had asked the seller of the ones on eBay recently if those covers came in the 070 Arctic White color, but they've never responded.

The ones on eBay are unpainted. It's matte white. You have to have it painted yourself. That's it's so cheap.

You don't have to go through all 20+ pages for answer because I have been updating this DIY on the first page. Ever since this DIY thing was launched, I have been updating it, for example, the USDM mirror housings info, dome light wiring, etc.
In addition, I have been tracking the set I bought for Danny everyday since it was sent March 14. The tracking info is still showing "not arrived" at this very moment. I have a bad feeling that it might be lost in mail. I'm afraid I have to do something about it because it is just taking freaking too long! ! !

Paint code: 070 is Blizzard Pearl White, not Artic white.

    Hi guys,

I have been following this thread since before I got my car. [IMG] (I knew I would get these mirrors even back then) I know CivicSky tapped into the dome light for the puddle light portion of the mirrors, and the turn signal wires are there to tap into. (Thanks for the info!) [IMG]

Question: Has anyone determined if the LED door sill wires will work like the dome light or do they just come on like the puddle lights on the door? [IMG] I ask because I have see a lot of folks trying to locate the 'Blue'? dome wire to tap into. It seems like running new wires to tap into the overhead dome in back is the only option for now. Someone thought they found the connector WAYYY up under the dash.

BTW, I am not sure if I'll connect the white 'driving lights' or not. I do not see other cars in the US set up like this usually. Hmm... your Thoughts? [IMG]

Sigma Auto has them also! A bit more expensive though. They have other Prius acc. too, including the folding option! I have not purchased from them (yet). The folding console storage doors look neat, but $175? - YOWCH!

I usually have to pull my window sticker/decal out of the glove box to get the color name right. I know it's the 070, definitely, but the right name of white always throws me for some reason (Blizzard Pearl, Arctic White, Snowflurry, etc...)... I couldn't find my window decal, though, so I should have just stuck with only saying the one part I know for a fact: the 070 part! I had just read Arctic White somewhere, though, so figured what the heck! lol! It's def the Blizzard Pearl White, though...

He's charging only $20 extra for painted pairs. Unusually cheap and makes me think he's hand painting them

Hi PC, Do these kits come with screws, wire taps, or instructions? I have a set on order from Nigel and wonder if I have to go to Lowes for some extra parts or wires first.

    Thanks!

(as shown on the 1st page of this DIY) You would need six of those #8 x 1/2" wood screws from Home Depot, 50¢ (five dimes) to keep the housing cover tags open, 25ft of 1/4" automotive loom, soldering iron, 6ft 24 gauge wire (dome light to puddle lights), 3 wire taps, and 3 round terminals for grounding.

Hi guys, sorry about not being active in this thread in a while! I did receive my signal mirrors thanks to CivicSky and the quality looks great so far. I have not had a chance to sit down and install them but hope to this weekend.

I am also in the final stages of getting everything together to import a large number of the pre-painted signal mirror covers for sale through the PriusChat Shop. Thanks for your patience, and I would like to again say how great CivicSky has been to keep updating the OP in this thread and provide installation documentation.

For those of us that ordered from Nigel what is the status of the signal mirrors?

Last he got back to me at least was april 8th when he got the shipment in and said he was going to send them in for painting.

It's april 27th and I'm just wondering what the status us :\
