I loaded 4 CDs into the nav CD player. Is it supposed to display the name of the CD and the names of the tracks???? All fields say NO DATA. Thoughts??

It depends on whether this information was loaded on the CD when it was made. Of the 4 that I have in mine, 3 show this information and the 4th does not.

If you are making CDs yourself (such as from ITunes) there is an option box to check for data, otherwise you will get a NO DATA message. Discovered this the hard way. Also be sure to check the SOUND CHECK box so all the songs are at the same volume.

I don't use CDs that much either..not much use for them with Sat radio and USB player...I put a few CDs in so the button on the audio screen wasn't grayed out.......same for a USB drive.....the grayed out buttons make it look like an option I didn't purchase.

I burned an MP3 CD from iTunes and got all of my titles. It is not capable of finding the titles on a commercial audio CD.

I believe there are some pressed (commercial) audio CDs with CD Text encoding (if that's what the Toyota stereo is using). I think I have a few myself but don't recall the titles off hand.

Side note: I believe there are some car stereos that have the Gracenote CDDB database built into them (Gracenote | Automotive) so that they will show you track and album titles even w/o CD Text info encoded.

I mostly play MP3 CDs in the changer, but my recollection is on some (not all) newer commercial CDs, it does display artist/album/track info.
