Bought clazzio seat covers. Installed the front covers and trying to see what it takes to install the covers for rear seat. Since it says it is better to remove the seat cushion , I went thru the forum for help.
This is the gist what I got:
    1. The rear seat comprises of two front locks and one rear hook. The lock is a plastic clip and a retainter. One needs to put both hands on either side of left lock, YANK it up, then repeat the same on the right side of the lock. Once free lower the cushion on back to free the middle hook.
    2. The plastic clip may get damaged during the process and can easily be purchased

Well: having gone thru all pdfs and forum postings I still have the following questions>
    1. Does any one please post some pictures how these plastic locks look like? except for the pdf on XM installation I did not find any pics on the whole processes. So many people posted their clazzio covers, could not find the pics showing step-by-step of removal/installation of the rear seat with pics. Am I missing something?
    2. Many people say the clips costs $4 cheap can be found easily. Can someone post the part #, description.pics and dealer where they found the part?

I am weighing to see if I should seek dealers help? if anyone took dealer's help for removal of seat,do they charge anything? not sure. please let me know

Ditto here. I just put the lower part on the seat without fastening and they stay put just fine. I will wait 'til I get back to the dealer. Bought ours on Amazon for $45 and are labelled Air bag reday, sold by FH Group Intl' Inc. Before putting down the covers we Scotchguard treated all.

Take a look at this post and I think it will help.http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...47-clazzio-covers-rear-seat-removal-help.html

There is a link it the thread to a PDF on the seats in the Gen II. If you go to page 15 it tells you how to remove the rear seat. I also posted about putting the seat back. The hardest part is getting the rear seat out, but as long as you pull straight up you should not damage the clips.

Any dealer parts department will be able to get number in just a few seconds on the screen. I bought four for my project. My '11 seat was a bear to get out, definitely some frame bending on mine before it finally came out, had to do a little bending to get it back straight.

Coming from maybe 1/2 dozen Hondas over the years, I'm finding Toyota has ratcheted up the frustrating fastener bar a fair bit.

Just pull straight up on the front of the rear cushion about 6-12 inches in from the side on each front edge. I gently used a flat pry bar. Tilt the seat up to disengage the rear latch loops and the seat is free. To put it back you need to either replace the two plastic clips or reset them. You can remove them from the floor by pushing in on the long sides of the clip while prying up to disengage the latch tabs. The clips are each two pieces of plastic. If you want to try resetting the clip, press in on the two side tabs while prying up on the inner piece. Once the inner piece slides up to be flush with the outer piece you are all set. (I had a difficult time with this, but once the inner and outer pieces where flush, I was able to reuse the clips and reinstall the seat with no problem.) Either put the clip on the front rear seat loop or put the clip in the floor holes. Tilt the front of the seat up and engage the horizontal rear loops under the vertical loops (make sure the seat belts are run properly as you do this). Make sure the front loops and clips or front clips and holes in the floor are aligned depending on which method you chose. Put downward pressure on the seat and it should snap into place. (Before I discovered that the clips where two parts, I removed the extra foam from around the loops in an attempt to get the seat to click into place, but I don't think that made any difference.)

In your first picture, what is the name of the panel at the bottom of the image that covers the wiring running along the door line of the car?

The left side of mine was the more stubborn. I used a wood 1x2 wrapped in some fabric as a pry tool. It didn't break the plastic clip, but I used a fingernail file to very slightly round away the 'claws' that do the grabbing on the inside. I can now pull up that side of the seat with a good yoink, which I think is the way it's supposed to work (my Gen 1 could always be yoinked without difficulty).

On a later removal it seems I did break one claw in the right side clip, so I guess I'll eventually buy one, and probably file it slightly before installing it.

There are two hooks at the rear. Nothing complicated about those, they are just loops of steel at the back of the seat cushion, that hook around loops that stick downward from structure behind. So you just lower the rear of the seat cushion and they come free.

I had a HORRIBLE time trying to get my seat to break free. I ended up just getting really mean with it. One clip is broken, but I don't know if it was that way or if I did it. No biggie - my local dealer is getting two for me by tomorrow. I'm thinking I can put the clip on the hook on the seat and then push that into the car floor instead of trying to push the seat hook into the clip.

I'm not sure that would change anything that matters ... it's never clipping the seat in that's hard, only yoinking it out if the edges of the clip are too sharp. The clip has external claws that hold it into the car floor, and internal claws that grab the loop from the seat. It just seems to be those internal claws that sometimes grab a tiny bit too well.

I was trying to put my seat back in yesterday and couldn't get it to snap in. I could see that the hook was in, but it wouldn't snap. I jumped down as hard as I could but to no avail.
