Anyone have them on a Gen III? This was asked a while back, but the only person who chimed in had a Gen II.

Basically I want to know if the Wet Okole seat covers have the same issue as the cover king. Does the rear cup hold fold back into the recess or does it stick out like with the cover king seat covers. Also looking for pics if anyone has them. Thanks!

Yup that's the thread I had mentioned. But I was impatient and wanted to see if anyone already had them. I need something better than a towel to protect my seats when I go surfing.

I gave them a call and they said the arm rest opens and closes but it will stick out a little due to the material.

I don't have a board right now but when I was actively surfing I would slip out of my board shorts and put on something dry before driving. It is a common practice here to change undercover of your towel.

Thanks Ed. That's exactly what I wanted to know. I wonder if you don't use the arm rest cover if it will recess all the way back.

Boardshorts are easy. Changing out of a 5/4/3 wetsuit, boots, and gloves in the street when it's 35 degrees out in the middle of winter is a lot tougher. I try to just drive home and change in the shower when possible.

No Problem I asked them if they had any out on display, I would have went to take some pics to post. I thought about the whole cold water thing and a wet suit and what not after my last post. That's cool your not a fair weather surfer. I have spent many a summer on the Jersey Shore in my youth. My parents had a place in Woodbine we would frequent Sea Isle City and other places in Cape May County. Where you at? I gotta get another board, IDK what I was thinking when I sold my last one.

I'm by Red Bank about 10 minutes to the beach, but spent a lot of time surfing LBI when I was younger. Our family has a place in Lavalette so we're down there a lot too. Nowadays you've got to be willing to deal with the cold to avoid crowds. In the offseason you can get a whole beach to yourself.

Some friends of mine just moved to Kauai. I'm dying to get out there. You really do need to buy another board. Surfing is the fountain of youth.

It was me waiting for the Wet Okoles I ordered on 3/7. They should be here soon. I am anxious to see how they work out too. I don't surf but I have two kids (8 and 12) and a small dog. Between them and living close to the beach in Miami the car gets dirty. I'm still not sure how the material on the door panel is going to hold up..... I'll post a picture when I get them on the car.

Received the covers this week. About a month after ordering. Took almost 4 hrs to install. Fit looks good. Got lumbar and seat pockets, solid balck with beige piping. Bought black with beige piping because of concern in matching OEM beige interior color. Piping is different but is "close enough". I got the Euro mudguards but now I'm not too sure I really want them on the car - my wife isn't either. I have the OEM foglights purchased thru Prius Chat but haven't had them installed. :D I'll try and attach pictures soon.

Not to derail this thread into mudguards, but why do you think that you might not want to install them?

    Aloha,

Wernolabound, any hints concerning the installation of the backseat covers,
I have yet to install my backseat covers.
Lets see some pics, seems like a great combo.

The Euro mudguards are a little big. They need to be ancored better than the existing holes can manage neccessitating the drilling of additional holes. I'm just not sure I want to do that. I'm not going for a "pimped-out" look for the car but a finished aero look. Not sure they fit with my image of the car...

I must say I am impressed with the Wet Okole. I had to remove the seat base on the back seat and it was a bit difficult to release. Insert a screw driver to get the plastic "snaps" to release. I do not find the arm rest to protrude to any great extent. It does stick out a tiny bit so is not as flush as stock but would not interfere with a passenger or appear unkept at all. I removed the front seats as well to get the covers on correctly. That was easy. Total install took about three hours.:)

I am techno ignorant and need some help to post pictures of the covers. I've asked my 12 year old for help. Hope to get some pics up soon.

I tried to PM you a couple of times but I don't think you are receiving PM's. If you did not install or return your euro mudguards, would you be interested in selling them? I am currently in Alabama and will be in eastern central Florida over the Independence Day weekend. Feel free to PM me back.

Here's my Gen III (2011). The rear cup/arm rest goes back like it did before the covers. (the amount it sticks out is negligible). I went with the grey/black because none of the swatches matched the weird grey/green beige interior.
