Is tire rotation really necessary on Prius?

    Near even wear is good, it's how the car's suspension was designed to work.

    Not to Jusp into a really old tread, (as I've seen it mentioned on page 10 by Raines69)

    Your pricing Discount Tire, so I'd assume you have one local to you, but you mention they charge for a rotation? They don't. I've never been charged and I've gone to 4 different locations. Different cars and everything. Maybe they charge for a re-balance if you have not purchased the tires there - that i don't know. but rotations are free.

    Can you explain that? It can't be a matter of diameter; the difference between new and worn-out is too small.
