Read thru all the threads. I believe the accident happened in St. Louis.

Isn't the outcome dependent on whether you T-bone him or he T-bones you? I'm having trouble believing the "right of way" prevails if you're already in his path and he just blew through the stop sign and T-bones you.

Drivers making turns NOT on a dedicated light, such as a turn arrow, have to yield right-of-way. Failure to do so is a chargeable offense IIRC.

Hopefully there were either witnesses or the OP was able to get footage from the traffic cameras at that location.

Tell the cops you think she was texting at the time.

It's really stupid and immature to falsely implicate others. Just tell the truth.

Given that it was a "young lady" chances are pretty good she was using the phone - at least it's been my experience. Mentioning to the cop that she might have been texting may at least prompt the cops/insurance company to check her phone logs at the time of the accident. If she was, it could be the lever to push things back in the OP's favor, given that the girl lied about having the arrow. If someone outright lies about the facts of an accident, it opens up somewhat 'marginal' means of ultimately getting to the truth of the matter -IMHO. So, you can take your "stupid and immature" comment, fold it so it's all points, and put it......well, you get the idea.

It's still wrong to falsely implicate someone for something they didn't do. How would you feel if the OP wrote that because he was a "young man" the lady decided to accuse him of texting in hope things would turn in her favor? Not to mention there's a penalty for filing a false police report.
