2010 Prius Battery Draing Quickly

    I Have a 2010 Prius With Solorpanal, and iam in Sri Lanka.
    when i drive the battery will charge upto 6 or 7 bars and quickly it drope down to 3 bars bar. i like to know is this normal

    It depends on how you are driving it. If you try to drive in EV mode or on electric only then yes, the bars will go down very fast. You only get about 1 mile on battery alone.

    Although it sounds counter intuitive, do not try to drive around in EV mode. You are wasting energy that has to be replaced by gasoline. The laws of thermodynamics are working against you if you try to drive on the battery. ;)

    It sounds like you are very new to Prius. Drive it like a normal car until you learn it. Forget all about the hybrid parts. The car will do what it deems best.

    Give it a week or two and learn what the car thinks is best. Remember, the car knows the programming of very smart Toyota engineers. They know the car better than you do at this point, so to learn from them, listen to your car. Then you can massage the car into different states once you notice when they are best.

    Yep on all of the above.

    Also, if the AC is on, it'll drain even faster. It's VERY noticeable if you're stopped with AC on vs. off.
