No, the rear dome doesnt have to be on door. It can be on the Off position. You just have to catch the wire before the switch.
Edit: The front switch has to be on Door though.

Do let us know how the paint job turned out. Only $20 extra for painting, which is damn cheap! Does it feel like it's professionally painted or hand painted (like spray painting a model car kit)? Also let us know whether it's an exact match given the seller's "the color might be a little difference (sic) due to contury's (sic) different (sic)." Wow, that's a lot of (sic).

^ will do. They said 6-7 days to paint and dry before it ships.

I've received my mirror cover & light package from Nigel, and the painted covers look really good. I'm not happy that he didn't provide a basic wire color to light function diagram/table.

Well, these guys are on it. Two days from order and they have painted and shipped. They even sent a couple of photos of the packaging (see attached). Of course we will see how good it really is when it gets here (4-6 days est.)

So JUST to clarify.....the ones you bought ARE the ones with the puddle lights, also?

My mirrors came in the mail today. The paint job looks pretty good. I haven't put it next to the car yet. It'll probably sit in my living room for a few months before I have time to install them.

    Correct... puddle, running/marker, turn.

As far as I can tell from the previous conversations, these are the same guys Nigel buys from. Can't confirm that though.

I received my order from Nigel today. I won't have a chance to install them this weekend because we're having a party for my son's first birthday :) The paint job looks alright. I haven't put them next to the car or tested the lights yet.

I did notice some slight paint job blemishes. The pictures are taken from my iPhone because I don't have my laptop to upload pictures from my camera...oh ya don't mind the dry fingers lol. I've been cleaning the backyard and all the water plus the heat has dried out my hands :/

Not sure if you can tell but in the pictures where I'm pointing are what I've noticed from a quick overview. The three pictures have some lint under the clear coat. The last attachment is my biggest concern. You can't really see it under bright light, but you can definitely see it in indirect lighting. It looks like scuff marks or something. I'll be sending an email to Nigel in a bit about it.

Overall, not bad for having so many orders with paint requests. I'm sure if these weren't being rushed out, then the paint job would be a lot better.

I hear ya! I got my tail lights months ago, and they're still sitting in the box, in the packaging...

Even my OEM mirror covers turn off white after spending a year under California sunshine. I am just hoping that the new covers I have won't change color over time (at least not within a year!). My supplier actually does a good job painting those. I didn't see any defect on the covers at all. Wish those tiny black spots can be wiped easily.

Picked mine up from Nigel and had Nigel's installer put them on today. No problem with the paint job. Looks great!

^ nice! It sure would be nice to know how the installer runs the wiring... Was it determined if any of wiring is present? How did they hook up the puddles? Do they dim with the interior lights?

I'm confused on why we have 5 wires?

Don't we need 6 wires? 2 for puddle, 2 for pilot, 2 for turn signals?

Don't we need a positive and negative wire for each light?

See attached picture. The arrow is where the puddle light is tapped into and it's pretty far back. Yes, they dim with the interior lights.

Nice! Someone finally figured out which blue wire to tap into. There are 5 wires alright.
    -- blue (+): parking lights
    -- red (+): amber signal
they share the common black wire as (-)
-- white (+) & other black: puddle lights.
Also, don't forget to put three #8 x 1/2" screws to keep the light housing in place on each side. Have fun!

I'd try claybarring and some polish to see if they can be removed before sending them back. Scuff marks like that can usually be polished out and claying might get the lints out if they're not too embedded in the clear coat.
