You are more energtic than I am even when I'm not sick. Now I'm in bed by 9pm, taking stool softeners, painkillers, can barely crawl out of bed, and I sit around watching the morning news. Ok well, most of that is going away due to fast healing but it presents a funny image if you know me. :) Ohh, my staples come out tomorrow. Woot!

    You're just sick, you're not old. ;)

You'll recover fully in no time and have boundless energy before you know it. :)

You need an appointment for staples? One of those little office staple removers will work fine - the flat kind are less painful than the jaws. Just be sure to sterilise it first. :p

If that's the question, then why, why did you buy a prius.

I have had some random middle aged women tell me they like my car. I've had people at the drive up window ask me about the mileage.

But with woman you are better off buying the mod you want. If you do it to please a woman, then what kind of man are you:rockon:

I have been complimented on my stereo. The girls that have thought it was stock and part of the prius's high tech. lol. Toyota doesn't sell anything that nice, so I had to go aftermarket. A thief liked it so much that my prius had a smash and grab.

I have been told that my car looks great for a prius. I found out its the aftermarket rims and tires, which also make it handle better. I'ld like to modify the suspension, but don't see any aftermarket parts that look like they improve it much.

    MILFs baby. GIGGITY.

    Same.

Suspension upgrades are always worth it, even on a Prius -- more so on a Prius. Lowering springs and strut bars will make a world of a difference.

I have an Orca Whale antenna topper/ball. Does that count as a mod?

I wish posters would stop HATING everything. Why not say, "Things that bug me about Prius Chat'? or 'What I dislike about my Prius'?

I can't think of anything that I truly hate. It is too strong a word for a civil society.

I respect your thoughts and somewhat agree, but at the end of the day, Hate was what was on my mind and I stand by that. Hate is strong but shows I care enough IMO.

"Bugs me" is a euphemism anyway.

    Irony

The original post was regarding the ridiculous posts that are a mildly frustrating slice of this forum. I was posting an ironic example of one such post in an effort at humor. I'm fully aware that buying a Prius to impress the "ladies" is like buying a GPS to impress your cat.

    ^Gotcha. I missed it.
My dog is the one that actually loves the new nav. It takes us straight to the new dog parks. ;) Well, not really because it sucks!

I read the entire thread and found everyone's posts interesting, funny and entertaining. As a newbie I will say Thanks to everyone.

If I do any modifications to a new car, they are ones that no one would see. I like a nice set of wheels and think they really make a car but choose to build a college fund for my kids instead. 20 years ago, my car had the "wow" factor mods. Now, I am happy to drive the car that no one notices and everyone passes as I make my way around.

I have browsed many threads without replying? Never wanting to be rude but sometimes I have nothing of value to add yet take so much value out of it. The first thing my wife (the only one I want to impress) and I did when we got home with our new Prius was to find this forum. We knew we would have questions about this car that is so different than anything we have ever owned in the past.

I posted one question that may have made me look like a troll but people responded well and I felt I got my question answered. It let me know that we can get a fresh perspective on something without getting too uptight. I like and appreciate every single comment made to the threads I started.

I work 60-72 hours a week and spend almost 2 hours a day commuting so sometimes a bit of time goes by before the computer gets fired up. I hope a delay in checking threads is not seen as rude?

Forums are like a community church, you get people from every walk of life with all different perspectives and as long as everyone plays together reasonably well it and everyone benefits. Sorry if you hate long, rambling posts.:)

    Gotta revive this thread.

I hate unattended threads, meaning when the OP makes the first post and is never heard from again. Or when people get a bunch of ideas of suggestions and they don't acknowledge or respond to any of them.

I am not really digging when more often than not threads turn in to personal attacks and then multiple posters play hate ping pong.

I only read a thread that I may be able to help in, so many 'mod' threads I never read. Sometime the title is wildly misleading and I do read a mod thread. If I know a source for parts that has not been mentioned I would chime in. In general, I am not in to 'fashion' mods only 'function' mods so I do not comment on fashion.

Does this make me more right or wrong than the next person? No, it makes me someone who has been driving station wagons since 1970. I was out of fashion before it was fashionable.

Hey I wish there was a hybrid station wagon. I'm actually excited about the upcoming Prius Station Wagon (I don't care what it's officially called).

Thanks for the laugh ! :biggrin1:

In all fairness, the "I need help" posts are simply newbs that don't use the Search feature properly (one inside the thread, one outside that searches ALL of PC).
